Yeah, this is crackers. I can't believe they've managed to get him. He looked so promising at Lorient and someone I thought we should have been all over in terms of signing for the future. Not sure if it's been lack of opportunity at Roma or if something's going on behind the scenes but they could have an absolute player on their hands for 6 months here.

We lose football matches the EXACT same way, week in, week out. Ruud highlights the fact that we perform admirably and then make individual mistakes which cost us points. That’s correct IMO, so WHY are we persisting with the same personnel that continuously make those mistakes and cost us valuable points?! SURELY the board now acts and gets USA a new f*****g right back before the next outing. There is no other option, we cannot continue with this or we are doomed to the Championship. Yeah, the last player you want that to fall to is Mavididi, gotta be honest. Technique non-existent and confidence is absolutely shot to bits. Alves cannot be worse than him on the ball, it’s an impossibility IMO.

100% agree on this mate, we should have been absolutely all over him in the summer. Performances since have increased his value and probably made him unattainable for us, which is unfortunate. He's got a big future somewhere, not sure it's at Liverpool, though.

I thought it when he came on, as I have done for the past 2 seasons when we were linked. At the moment though I don’t think it’s his profile we need (similar to BEK and Facundo), I’d prefer an Abdul type winger to play on the right and someone to replace Stephy in a similar mould. McAtee looks a very good player it’s just a shame we now seem to be well stocked in that profile of player (noting FB will go back to Brighton). I can’t see him being cheap, either.
