  1. There has been way too little explanation of the positives of immigration that is for sure, but that still needs to be alongside recognising and managing the downsides. Preferably also avoiding calling anyone with concerns racist or Xenophobic.
  2. Its the managers job to manage the team he has, not put them on the spot and create a division over frankly nothing. If your player has issues at home and feels he needs to be home overnight then you support them and make it work. That is how you get players to play for you, not making a demand which puts them in a difficult position of choosing to prioritise their family or their dickhead boss.
  3. Thats great in theory, but in reality the difference between a player being brilliant and being off his best is often psychological, and that is down to the manager and coaches to create the right environment. Some players are more sensitive than others too.
  4. Enabled by mainstream politics on both sides of the house telling the population to ignore their own experiences and accept mass immigration as its all fine and definitely isn't causing any issues at all. You reap what you sow. That mainstream is catching up with social media a little too slowly and it has let in the *****.
  5. These women don't understand representing England at all do they? Winning from 1-0 down in the 90th minute? Ridiculous!
  6. As trump has zero cultural appreciation and is ill educated this should come as no surprise.
  7. The club don't hold them in the same low regard as some fans evidently, or they would be out on loan with us paying half their wages. It can be done, someone decided we are better with them around, even if they are not starting.
  8. Its ok, its not like Trump just cancelled USAID. Oh. Bollocks.
  9. The same applies to a point with any fixed contract -- senior execs, musicians etc, If you want them you sign a contract with a fixed term and you are committing to paying them that. Unless they breach that contract you are bound by it. Daka has done nothing wrong apart from not be as good a footballer as we expected.
  10. One of my team mentioned the other day he often gets Jetstar to price match cheap flights to Bali, saves himself thousands. No idea how it works and I can't ask him as he is swanning round France.
  11. Or indeed how PSR is set up to stop us and other similar clubs from winning anything. Villa struggling this summer I think for example.
  12. I wouldn't judge too much on attitude from last season, we appointed two idiots to manage the team.
  13. I assume the point of the rule is to prevent match fixing between clubs with the same person or company in overall control. Not sure how the cut off date for him to sell makes sense in this case.
  14. I am not sure I can see JJ playing in Turkey tbh.
  15. We have pretty good relations with Canada, Australia and New Zealand to be fair. The US a bit hit and miss.
  16. I cant remember, and my post isn’t really clearing things up!!
  17. The person who reported it said the bit about the immediate apology, not Torode.
  18. The ABC is pretty popular in Aus, and the main alternative new is Sky News Australia, and as they don't have the UK law around balance, it is much like Fox news in the US, a mouthpiece for whatever nonsense Murdoch supports this week. Its awful.
  19. They were obsessed with the idea that the opposing view must be presented as that was balance. It was the 2010s version of the 90's asking the ****wit in the street what they think. It wasn't balance, it was giving a platform to *****.
  20. I think it is a personal opinion as to whether you have a weight problem, and if you are paying for it privately, and there is now no shortage of the drugs, who cares?
  21. Well for example, why is my Mum's TV license paying for your Cricket coverage? She doesn't listen to it! She loves the Archers though, as I am sure do you.
  22. Yes, and probably one or two other bits like educational programming too, but with so many entertainment options out there now, surely the other bits could thrive outside the licence fee model. I already pay for some BBC channels over here through Britbox.
  23. It is a bit unclear though how much of the BBC's 4Bn spending on public service broadcasting is spent on news & current affairs.
  24. Who is proud of it? Most people seem to just be amazed at what it can do, at how much healthier they feel, how much better they look and excited for the future.
  25. Quite clearly a player of his talent would not have signed for us to play in the Championship, so a release clause was unavoidable. We had the choice to sign him and improve our chances of staying up, while accepting he leaves is we don't, or not signing him at all.
