  1. This reminds me of a camping trip last year.
  2. That would be paid up on the 24th May 2499, so not the worst deal Rudkin has made.
  3. He might have been on the list, but they blatantly ****ed around for weeks on end.
  4. I am sure he has been offered to just about everyone. United signed Owen after Newcastle though, so have a little history with this type of deal.
  5. Obviously, it is not the ideal response, but context has to be taken into account, and in this event in the context of a very violent arrest in which officers were injured, I think making sure the guy stayed down was reasonable.
  6. The police don't decide whether to charge someone, or whether they are found guilty, or their sentencing. Apart from that, this make perfect sense.
  7. I can't imagine trusting my life to something built by Tesla tbh. I find the autobraking in my BMW IX3 disturbing enough without even considering ever relying on it to actually avoid an accident.
  8. Sounds to me like he has been paid a lump sum to leave, but is liable to pay some of it back if he finds employment within the period of his original contract. Fair play to him for not sitting on his arse.
  9. And that Portuguese bloke who wont the Champions league with 2 different clubs.
  10. To be fair this is widely understood to be because he fell out with the useless senior management, had sod all to spend and inherited a squad full of ****wits... Oh. I see your point. Shit.
  11. Love Canada! Have visited Ottawa, Toronto, St John’s Newfoundland, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Banff, Jasper, Lake Louise, Whistler, Victoria Vancouver Island and spots in between. Saw REM and Radiohead on consecutive nights at UBC which was lots of fun.
  12. Any manager that would do that should be shot on sight.
  13. Tebbit, the man who wouldn't be told what to do by the unions in work or in Politics. Stopped the unions forcing out those who didn't want to join in closed shop workplaces. In the aftermath of the 1981 riots in Handsworth and Brixton, Tebbit responded to a suggestion by the Young Conservative National chairman, Iain Picton, that rioting was the natural reaction to unemployment:
  14. That is a fair point actually, we are not Bayern Munich or the German national setup that is for sure.
  15. Hope Powell? We would certainly make some news as the ex champions who appointed a woman!
  16. I prefer the look of Rohl's background, learning from some significant managers at big clubs. Marti has gone another way and taken on manager roles himself at smaller clubs.
  17. Less so than Rohl IMO, but that looks to be dead now.
  18. Don't they shut down overnight for bets like these?
  19. No shit. If you are on gardening leave and accept another job (assuming you are permitted to and are not working out your notice period) the gardening leave stops paying you. This is how it works.
  20. Sorry for your loss mate.
  21. We can only hope at this point. I have been reticent to condemn them, as I do believe they have good intentions, but they wont be the first to have those and fail miserably running a football club.
  22. Aaargh!
  23. He should stop paying a CEO and Director of football then.
  24. I suspect the issue here is the dramatic drop in time spent sitting on the ground in playgrounds.
