Yep, that has done me. Rest in Peace Shakey. Even your namesake couldn't write a story as beautiful as the one you lived. Legend.

Sign him up for another year, then sign him up as a coach, retire the shirt, build a statue then appoint him as manager. Seriously though, nobody will ever see a player like him again. Sunday league mentality and World class quality.

That's your opinion, I respect that and I am also relieved that we are up for the financial gains but I disagree with your assessment of the league. - Less constant over analysing of absolutely every aspect of the game. - Less of a gap in finance between top and bottom leading to a better competition. - Less games in the Prem, both on Saturdays and under the lights. - Bigger attendances, but on the whole, atmosphere is woeful due to pricing out the real fans. - No VAR in the Championship. - No top six bias in the Championship. - No plastic fans. I just think it's a league that still has a feeling of a true English league whilst maintaining high quality. Just out of interest, why do you think it's a shithole?

Don't get me wrong, I'm over the moon, back where we belong, but I'll really miss this league.

Southampton 5-0 post match mutual touching frisky party
Magnum replied to Daggers's topic in Leicester City Forum
Enzo has got a few things wrong this season and a lot right. Tonight, he got it phenomenally correct. Performance of the season. We have enough to be going up now and I'm proud of everyone that played their part tonight. The summer will come and next season will start and there will still be big decisions that need to be made. Is this style the way forward with the team we will end up with next year? Do we need a different Manager to get something different from that group of players? They are questions for the summer. Tonight, we sleep well. Tomorrow, we smile at work and Friday we support QPR. I'll miss the Championship. -
Enzo Out? Time for an official thread/poll

I think this is spot on. I've said for years that Pep would struggle at a club that can't spend billions on players. Unfortunately, it's taken a carbon copy of Pep, at the club I love to prove the point. When the football works, it's great. When it doesn't work, there is nothing else. My 10 year old son actually said at half time, "this game needs overlapping full backs and a more creative number 10 to create the space to break the lines. I'd look at bringing Yunus on for Ndidi and go 4-2-3-1". It was at that moment that I realised a 10 year old kid with just 18 months experience on Football Manager could make more of an impact on a game than Enzo Maresca. -
I may have slightly over exaggerated but thr point is, he seemed to be converting very well to playing in the 8 role. Breaking the lines, creating chances, taking chances. Now he just looks lost and incapable.
-
Ndidi was abysmal too. He's gone from looking like a prime Zidane before injury to a defensive midfielder trying to play a number 8 role.
-
I've been defensive of Enzo in the past because, on the whole, whenever we haven't got the 3 points, we've still been the better team. Tonight, we were awful. No creativity, no fight, no quality on or off the ball. No positive changes. Tonight has finally convinced me. Whether we get promoted or not, Enzo has to go. This style only works with top quality players. We have above average players for the Championship and the results/position in the table is a result of that. Next season, we will need something totally different if we go up and Enzo can't deliver that. If we don't go up, with the squad we have now, it won't work next season with the squad we'll end up with either. So, he shouldn't go now, because it's counter productive, but he needs to go. Best case scenario, we go up, a Serie A club approach Enzo, we accept the approach, he goes for a fee and leaves us to approach someone else.

Not old enough to remember Nils Eric Johanson pumping it long to 4ft 3in Iain Hume? -
The evidence is that not many clubs bounce straight back up and especially not as Champions. I haven't ignored parachute payments at all. Parachute payments simply allow clubs to operate at 55% of the wage bill that they had the previous year. This is to stop clubs going bust. The same leadership of Top and Rudkin clearly have nothing to do with the way we play on the pitch. We are miles different currently from the style that Dean Smith had us playing for example.
-
I do remember that. Also, remember when half the country said we wouldn't win the the league?
-
It's no media myth at all. The financial advantage may well be though. The 3 seasons prio to this were under someone else's leadership. Maybe I am wrong, but I can't understand the negativity. Before you start, yes, season ticket holder since 1994.
-
Don't worry pal, it'll be laughed at way before May.
-
Total capitulation in form? Jesus, I bet you were a nightmare during the Brendan regime. The league is notoriously plagued with inconsistencies. This is the first time we have seen it. Continuing to play the football that had us on course to win the league with the biggest total points tally is all Enzo needs to do. Along with not listening to people like you, of course.
-
You're right. We shouldn't be happy that we are still top of the most difficult league in the world to bounce straight back up from. If you have any spare razor blades, fancy sharing?
-
10 man defence football? You having a laugh? Are you also your Leeds FC supporting mate??
-
This is the issue. The football is fine, goals conceded are expected in such a tough league. The fact we are playing such dominant football and not capitalising is the problem. 11 games left and I back Enzo to change this.
-
You think we'll drop at least 23 points in 11 games?
-
No. Absolutely not. This is a league that is plagued with inconsistencies and we have took the p**s out of it. We will continue to do that and those below us will continue to fall victim to it. We'll win the league and it'll be by 10 points plus.
-
Bruv?

Great Post. If we hadn't have created enough chances to beat these 3 times over, I'd be worried. However, it's crystal clear that we did, it's also crystal clear that we have a new identity as a club and it's crystal clear that the identity is working. Yes, we could have been better have finishing, but let's not wet our pants. Haaland missed a few sitters for Man City the other day, I can't imagine the Man City Forum was calling the manager and burning season tickets.
-
This. Only thing to add is that we also had a perfectly good goal disallowed when we were on top in the second half. This game is all about scoring when you're on top. We did that. We should have been 2-0 up, Leeds then take more risks and it could have been even more fruitful for us.
-
Hahaha, cheers pal. Probably only opportunity we'll ever have at singing it, hopefully!
-
Last Christmas, we'd had a bad start, And what can I say, we went down in May. But this year, we have something to cheer, Cuz Enzo Maresca's special.
