  1. Nobody likes a clever c**t.
  2. She's been put straight don't worry. 😂 But it goes to show if they push something enough and people see logos enough, it sticks, especially in young minds when they don't know better.
  3. I wasn't expecting that when I googled it!!
  4. You joke......but my daughter asked to go to a particular game earlier in the season and said there are still tickets left. I asked if she was sure and she said "yes dad I've been on the king power website". 😡😡
  5. Do you know the lottery numbers for Saturday too? 😂
  6. I don't know the answer for certain so I'm only assuming but you would think when you join or are part of a league that you would have to sign an agreement along the lines of "we agree to abide by the rules of the league" or "the final decision on disputes lies with the league". I certainly had to agree to things like that when I ran sunday and Saturday local league teams. Surely with the money involved, the league can afford lawyers who could draft agreements that are watertight against legal action. If you don't agree, you can't play in the league. Sign it or go away type of thing. Not sure many would want to drop out of the premier league, var or no var.
  7. Done. If you don't vote you don't really have much justification to moan, even if it doesn't go the way you want
  8. Funny isn't it. I like the running fox best too..... Again, as it was the badge city had when I started going. Easier to draw too......you should have seen my schoolbooks! They also had the lyrics to every song the kop sang on them.....including the sweary ones.....that went down well with Mrs Wilkinson 😂
  9. Been reading a few articles- it seems Chelsea want someone who will play possession based football (as does top I understand) and even have a say in other on pitch and coaching matters but why are clubs deciding what style of football to play? It's nonsensical. Executives who have probably never played, telling managers who have been in the game all their lives how to play. I'm by no means a fan of man utd but can you imagine anyone telling Alex Ferguson how to play, coach or who to pick/sign. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have stood for that. It seems Enzo isn't that man either, given he has made demands and requested assurances from our execs.
  10. As well as being an accomplished manager he is also leading the fight against the abuse of crystal meth 😂
  11. Me. I have an outstanding record of managing pub teams. I can pull a team of at least 10 together on a Sunday morning regardless of how heavy Saturday night was. I insist on XXL shirts for the larger framed centre halves. I play 4-4-2 regardless of the opposition, we've only had one match abandoned through on field punch ups and we knock up a decent plate of beans n chips after for the opposition.
  12. Genuinely nice man, no tired managerial clichés, no arrogance, didn't make wholesale changes as lots of incoming managers do, played the affable daft old man for the cameras but was obviously way more savvy behind closed doors and this protected the players from a lot of the pressure and he was just very likeable. You can see why the players gave everything and more for him.....oh and he happens to have a premier league medal in his back pocket..... Oh and he is mates with Andrea bocelli!! What a guy 😂 Thank you Claudio. Enjoy retirement
  13. You can see it now can't you? Sit down mate.......no.........cue punch up
  14. I have a dream that the sky gravy train runs out of money and stops funding football and dictating when we play, Players have to learn to live on less obscene wages and maybe get a taste of the real world we have to live in, VAR is scrapped, glory boys and insta addicts find a new hobby and something else to do with their "limbs", i can walk up and buy a ticket on match day, leicester city dont email me 4 times a day trying to flog me tat, we go back to 3 subs, absolute nobodies dont get england caps, stadiums are named after streets areas or parks not faceless corporations, I don't have to remortgage to see a game, people watch the game with their eyes rather than through a screen, my hometown club stops taking the piss out of my loyalty, a rich local business man (like jack walker and john hall did) buys the club and oh yeah i can stand. I think that's it. It was only a dream, mind!
  15. I had a kick about with my mates on rushey fields and pretended to be tony cottee. I beat 2 fat lads and a 9 year old and belted it in from 2 yards as hard as I could. Screamer! No nets, so the ball hit a car and knocked wing mirror off. Then a woman in house opposite shouted for us to watch it! Then my mate dropped his pants and had a p*ss in the brook. She called him a dirty b*stard then we ran off. True story.....does that count? Sorry what was the question?
  16. I once got propositioned walking down prebend street. All I could think to say was "I'm married". She looked at me like I was an idiot and said "so?" 😂
  17. Topless calenders in garages/ workshops
  18. Collymore one just immediately sprung out to me when I read this thread. For a short period it felt like we could be as dangerous as anyone with heskey and collymore up front and O'Neill's team could take the step up to the next level and really challenge..,...we had to wait a few years for that 😂😂. Shame collymore didn't have his head right.....he could have been one of the very best in my eyes.
  19. Pretty special that one. Not the typical Dion Dublin goal
  20. Collymore v Sunderland
  21. I agree, the club doesn't help at all. As you say, it's all been said before 🙄
  22. It is a bit odd. I can't imagine going to city and not wanting to make noise and sing. It's half the reason I have always gone. The atmosphere. If I wanted to sit quietly and comfortably to watch a game I could do that at home. But.....everyone is different . Thinking back I don't think it's always been that different. It was always pen 2 and pen 3 that made a noise back in the day. How many did those pens hold? I'm guessing 1.5 to 2k each maybe?? The east stand would chip in sometimes at big games but it only held a handful. But that aside not much noise came from main stand or double decker. I suppose if you had 4k in pens 2 and 3 then out of a capacity of 21,000, that's a bigger percentage making a noise than these days. But there were still a lot of supporters didn't sing even back then. I just think it's harder to get all the like minded singers congregating together these days than it was back then as there are non singers in the areas in and around sk1 who wont move out
  23. And that was just the new parks girls 😂
  24. Yeah I scored loads of goals at school goal hanging!!
  25. I'm good with that. These days I'd feel a bit aggrieved to pay an admission fee to give more money to millionaires (although I do it every other week to the king power gang 🙄). Charity benefitting is a good call.
