  1. Remember when football used to be a laugh. Few pints with your mates, bit of a sing song, see city win (if you were lucky), didnt care who the sponsor was or how much money the club had, accepted fox leisure was crap and we weren't rinsed for our last fiver. Then home happy and live our non lcfc life until midweek.
  2. Nah I'm saving up to attend a home league game. Should have enough by November
  3. Go park style. Fat lad in goal, prima Donna's up front goal hanging. Winger talking to birds on the sidelines and let the ball go out for a throw because he wasn't paying attention when it came to him. Crap player gets the obligatory 5 mins at the end cos he's mates with the manager. Sorted.
  4. Monopoly money I heard
  5. Bet you 70 crypto dollar pounds they do 😂
  6. Well played guys. Anyone who stands up and actually fights for something on my/our behalf deserves thanks and respect, as so many moan but do nothing.. Keep at it. 👍
  7. Not a great idea. First it doesn't really work at rugby as claimed. There have been numerous stories of people being a mess, throwing up over kids, fighting at the six nations if you do a brief search. But as far as drinking at Leicester city games goes, there are already big holes in the crowd at 35-55 mins where people are on the concourse because they can't go 45 mins without a pint. Do you really want people shuffling past you every 2 mins for 90 mins. I'm sure for some the football is secondary to pints. It's beyond me. I also don't want to get soaked whenever we score.
  8. Rich boys toys
  9. Yeah I preferred them when the shed end was a quarter mile back behind the goal and there was a ford sierra parked behind the other goal. They used to be pretty average in terms of stature and buying power. You can only hope things go full circle.
  10. That's two games I've called offside for "goals" as it happened, at full speed. Most of us have been involved in football and watched enough games to know what we see almost immediately. So it begs the question .. do the linesmen? Why do we need these checks. Stick your flag up, rule it offside, get on with the game
  11. Just got in for 2nd half. It looked like a stretched rubber Jonny from a distance 😂😂
  12. I woke up in a hedge in shepshed one Sunday morning after a night out at Krystal's.....just saying. As for KDH, sad to see him go. Not a world beater but decent and a local lad.
  13. They have had the gall to email me trying to flog me crap from the club shop after those match tickets increases. Laughable. I won't be going to many this season and I'll be making sure you lose more than you gain from me. I did used to use the club shop. Shirts for Christmas, mugs, key rings for birthday presents etc. No more that's for sure
  14. Fair play to the lad. He will be able to get to see them too. His man city and Chelsea supporting pals will have more chance of flying to the moon than of getting to see those teams in the flesh regularly
  15. Agreed, especially to BBC comment. Everyone pays their licence fee.....supporters of all clubs. Interestingly I watched a very old match of the day recently and they showed highlights of a game from the old div 4! That's how it should be. There are more match attending fans supporting clubs other than the big six.
  16. I agree. I really wouldnt care less if the 6 left the premier league and entered a super league. As foxin_mad says, we go to watch Leicester not to watch the opposition or see stars. When we play big teams I'm pleased when their big stars or influential players don't play, rather than disappointed, as I don't go to see them and it benefits city. Yes there would be less money for everyone but so what.....I'd support city if they pulled an unknown out of the pub to play for us. In fact, Preston away aside, my most enjoyable times at football and the best times at games were in years gone by where money wasn't such a big thing and the top flight wasnt the monster it is now. A league us, west ham, Brighton, villa etc had a chance of winning.....yeah I'd watch that, evenly matched with a genuine chance at success. Super league....no relegation or promotion.....boring. No underdogs springing a surprise .... boring......charged extortionate amounts to watch in person and on TV......no thanks.....but hey lads fill your boots. We don't need you.
  17. Agreed. 3 qualifying from some groups is a joke. But it's a money making exercise by uefa. More games more money. I always used to say it was probably tougher to win the euros than the world cup in the days of 8 and 16 teams as every team would be quality. The more teams there are the more meaningless games there are and it's plausible you could get an "easy ride" right through to the semis. But most importantly for the tournament is only 2 teams from each group should qualify. Either go back to 16 teams or increase to 32. I'd prefer 16 but it won't happen
  18. I'm not blown away by the appointment but as my dad always said, don't make judgements without reason. Give everyone a chance. Unless cooper shows he isn't up to it, then he gets my support. Give everyone a chance until they prove they don't deserve another one. And it should be remembered he is a professional. He will want to do a good job. Losing at football isn't much fun for anyone, fans players or managers. Philosophical eh?
  19. 😂😂 Unenforceable. How can you be fined for your choice of t-shirt. If you were a spotty teenage steward (as, let's face it, the execs wouldn't dirty their hands) would you approach a burly shouting bloke who smells of beer and attack his t-shirt, ask to see the labels and threaten to fine him? 😂
  20. It should be walkers. It should always be walkers to infinity 😂. Along with Newcastle brown for Newcastle, NEC for everton, JVC arsenal, sharp man utd etc etc. Yes I dislike moving with the times 😂
  21. Morons. Basketball is glorified netball with constant scoring to stop them getting bored and only the last few minutes really matter, baseball is glorified schoolgirl rounders, American football....they don't even use their feet 95% of the time....ITS NOT FOOTBALL. No relegation or promotion so the season is over for half the teams by Xmas. Concentration span of gnats so numerous breaks which is ideal for ads. Call themselves world champions winning at a game only they play. They cannot cope with the concept of a draw......It says a lot about Americans that football is huge almost everywhere in the world except there. Stinks of "if I can't win, I'm not playing". They just don't get it and shouldnt be anywhere near English league clubs or be given the chance to put forward views on how "to improve the experience". That said I wouldn't object to the foxy ladies cheerleaders coming back and doing a bit of pole dancing at half time 😂😂
  22. And still cheaper than a home game at the KP 😂
  23. Sad state of affairs. As you say.....very short term
