  1. So given that BDCR hasn't returned to training yet, Mavididi might well start. Let's hope so, although Cooper did say this: “Some have had some long travel as well. Bobby [De Cordova-Reid] is still not with us because of his schedule, we’ll see him tomorrow, but it’s no disadvantage really."
  2. Think this will be a 3-2 defeat. So far Cooper's approach seems to be conservative, so it's unlikely that Mavididi will start especially as it's away from home. To echo the sentiments already though, there has to be a balance in terms of attacking threat and Mavididi offers that, in fact this game could be ideal for him.
  3. Fair enough if that happens to be the case. I could be mistaken, but seem to recall Cardiff away last season had a designated seating area/block which was stood during the game anyway.
  4. I'm well aware that we have fans at the front who sit down at away games, but the amount varies and can hardly be called swathes. Although it does depend on the away ground to an extent.
  5. This probably has to be said because of the regulations but in reality, this won't be the case will it? Any visiting team isn't going to have a block of away fans all sitting down.
  6. Believe me, I'm still very much aware that signing players like these indicates how far the club has fallen. It's just a case of dealing with the reality of the situation we find ourselves in.
  7. Fair point, can only hope he realises his full potential here.
  8. The outside looks impressive though as well as the surroundings. If anything, would say it's more a case of the inside looking generic, which is often the label with new stadiums.
  9. Everton's new ground inside is probably similar to what the Bede Island South stadium would have looked like in the modern day, aside from the difference in capacity. Large screens, which seem to be a requirement these days, look more natural in two-tiered stands.
  10. They've already played together at Palace of course.
  11. Think Edouard and Ayew will work well together and as a pair could become a real handful.
  12. Reckless in a general sense. The club made £215m worth of losses over the three year period in question, to my understanding. There’s clear reasons why this has happened, and other clubs haven’t had such deficits because they’ve been run more responsibly. The downfall and subsequent relegation in 22/23 was unforgivable. Of course, it’s always easy to play the blame game in hindsight, and do take on board the points you’ve made. However, the mistakes that were made have had serious consequences for the club, and will continue to do so for some time.
  13. That's the only situation where it doesn't seem to sell out at Southampton. The same can't be said for them coming here, in fact there's been times we've taken more for a midweek game than they've brought to our place for a Saturday 3pm.
  14. The outcome of this is a huge relief, whatever the rights and wrongs of the situation are. However, it still doesn't negate from the reckless ownership of the club, and they must learn lessons from this so we avoid getting in such a mess again. The frustration of other clubs is understandable, but at the same time, if their club found a loophole they would be all for it. On a wider point, the significance of this case cannot be underestimated for the future of PSR, whatever that looks like.
  15. The delay in the expansion has naturally given the club time to potentially reconsider and look at building a new stadium. The club have committed themselves to developing the current site though, so would say it's unlikely. Location is obviously one of its biggest plus points, so if they were looking at a new ground, presumably the first option would be to rebuild on the current site given the space in the surrounding areas.
  16. It's a fair point, and clearly that needs to change. I'm still enthused by the second half performances in both home games though.
  17. There's plenty to take from the first two home performances (Spurs first half aside), and came away yesterday thinking we'll certainly pick up points against non top six sides - if we can replicate yesterday's second half display. The home atmosphere has given the players an edge so far and that needs to continue; it's more than likely most of our points will come at home so we've got to make the most of that advantage.
  18. So frustrating not to take anything from the game, which certainly wouldn't have been said pre-match. There's plenty to take from yesterday, and ultimately two top sides have come here and been pushed all the way (aside from that Spurs first half).
  19. Think this could even be a reverse of the 1-4 scoreline at Villa Park in December 2019.
  20. Playing against Villa, who are obviously a top four/top six club these days, brings it home again how far we've fallen. The chasm between ourselves and them is huge, so unfortunately it's difficult to see past a comfortable Villa win.
  21. The slow ticket sales for this will only serve to highlight the club’s decision not to allow the SK1 section to move centrally.
  22. First league away game since Preston of course. It's obviously going to be difficult to replicate the away end that night, but hopefully it can be looked upon as the new standard. Let's get close to that again.
  23. Not sure if it's already been mentioned but there was no Fan Cam on Monday. Hopefully it's gone for good, but not holding out much hope as it wasn't included early last season either.
