  1. The new website is looking good.
  2. There’s an argument to say the decline is not comparable, because no other club outside the big six has experienced the same level of modern day success.
  3. Peterborough will be the first club this season to bring 3,200+ tomorrow.
  4. Another link here to Percy’s article in full for anyone who needs it. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/the-leicester-promotion-roadmap-to-90-points-under-russell-martin/ar-AA2cozVK?ocid=socialshare
  5. In fairness, the article does go on to mention "mismanagement at every level" but fully agree with what you've said. It's just always going to be so hard to come to terms with the decline and the position of strength we were in only 5-6 years ago.
  6. This is going over old ground again, but it’s still maddening to read this snippet from the Mail article.
  7. Got away with it today, which is mad to say at 1-4.
  8. It’s the first away win of the season so we’ll take it, and hopefully we can kick on from this, but we won’t be able to unless there’s a massive improvement defensively. It’s been a problem for years now and it showed itself again today, giving up a 1-4 lead. At times it felt like that Southampton home game last season.

  10. Looks good here in the new t-shirt.
  11. The other thread was only started last month and is already on five pages, so can't see why a new thread was needed.
  12. This could’ve gone in the existing thread. https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/140088-jayden-joseph/
  13. He also spoke about the players at that time not having enough hunger, which has been an issue ever since. It was only Maresca who managed to counteract it, and with the squad turnover this summer, it should mean that Martin isn't up against it in this respect, unlike the previous managers.
  14. It’s probably the closest to an actual ‘squad refresh’ since Rodgers first talked about it in 2022.
  15. It’s not a ground that lends itself to noise travelling, but the South Stand side as a whole can also be made out at times.
  16. The first win of the season and the first league win at home in 6 months, so we’ll take it. Good to have some early promise.
  17. Saturday’s performance was a team with promising academy players giving it their all. It’s a very low bar from what it used to be, but this has been demanded for a long time.
  18. Fair post. Just think given the level of the decline in the last five years, this start to the season was always possible if not likely. It takes time to reverse such a losing culture, but of course time isn’t on Martin’s side with the morale of the fanbase and demand for results.
  19. Sometimes academy players can get overhyped because there’s such a want for them to succeed, but they are living up to the promise so far.
  20. Great to have academy players flourishing in the first team.
  21. Patience in terms of support for managers. Martin is the 5th permanent manager since Rodgers and there's calls for him to go after 3 league games. It's not that it's not understandable, but the cycle is becoming more and more tiresome. Yesterday's result was frustrating but not discouraging.
  22. At least he's acknowledged the decline goes back further than the last 2 years. Not a popular view to take on here, but in a different situation with more time, he's the type of manager who could turn the tide. Hopefully he can achieve that here, but he's at a club with one of the least patient fanbases in the country. The Cooper Out thread during the 2024 pre-season was a prime example of this.
  23. Also needs to have more shots on goal when he does, instead of constantly going for the inside pass. The style of play is obviously a big reason for that though.
  24. He hardly put a foot wrong yesterday. Braybrooke, Alves and Page get a lot of attention, but we've also got a real player on our hands here.
  25. It's got to be this surely, because he should be first choice with how he's started the season.
