  1. He absolutely will command peak Jose wages and is probably next in line for the Portugal or England job. No chance whatsoever. He’s more likely to go to Saudi than to join us.
  2. People that think we could attract Mourinho We have a seriously deluded fan base. We’d be lucky to get RvN or Potter.
  3. RvN would be a gamble but has pedigree and started his managerial career relatively successfully. Plays good football, promotes academy players and is a big name so could attract some good players. Cooper is garbage. Had near unlimited funds at Forest and still almost got them relegated. They were turgid away from home too under him. No thank you. Would genuinely rather have Moyes than Cooper (and I think Moyes would be the complete wrong appointment).
  4. He left PSV because the board sanctioned the sale of Gakpo & Madueke in January when they were in with a shout of the title. He’s also been out of work for a year and PSV just won the title so his stock has probably gone down a little. Wouldn’t be impossible and we should go all out for him IMO.
  5. Against teams that play a low block there’s not really a lot else you can do aside from “tika taka bollocks”. But against teams that don’t play a low block, we’re by far the best in the league as we’ve shown most of this season. So whilst I agree we do play better when we’re more purposeful, unfortunately it’s not as simple as that.
  6. I also agree Daka has been given far too many chances, but maybe Daka is our best finisher in training hence why he’s ahead of the rest. We only see 90 mins of the players every week, Enzo sees way more. Although the 90 mins are what matters the most so he should be taking that into consideration IMO.
  7. Even if they win every game, they are reliant on 2 teams essentially losing every game between now and the end of the season. It’s very unlikely IMO.
  8. Yep. We also effectively have an extra point on Ipswich due to our goal difference. It’s in our hands.
  9. Southampton are dead and buried. They aren’t getting close to autos.
  10. Personally think our slow, laboured performance was due to fatigue, players being too static off the ball and Millwall going man to man. Regarding fatigue, this should have been addressed by making more changes to the starting line up. Players offered no movement when Vestergaard / Faes / Mads were passing it around. Was frustrating to watch and I actually felt sorry for those three as they had no options. Faes definitely isn’t good enough but his bursting runs actually offer momentum. Just a shame he’s such a liability. Millwall going man to man - they defended narrowly but we still tried to play through the middle. It’s no coincidence that our best chances came when our wingers attacked their fullbacks. Mav cut inside far too much too.
  11. Not to mention the repeated mistake of not capitalising on the January window. We made the same mistake when we were challenging for Top 4 but didn’t learn. Really hope we see a board shake up at the end of the season.
  12. There’s literally no way of proving this. Only comparison you could argue we have is we were in for Martin and they are below us with a largely similar squad quality.
  13. The guy said he doesn’t enjoy watching us at all. I was pointing out that surely watching us win this season is better than the turgid last year. I’m glass half full but 90% of this forum isn’t it seems
  14. So you’d rather we lose every week like last season? I know sometimes it’s slow and laboured but fvck me people are dramatic. We’ve won 28 games this season!
  15. I disagree with this. We were actually pretty average at the beginning of the season but managed to pick up a lot of wins. Best performance I’ve seen is Leeds away until we conceded.
  16. I’ve taken the time to reflect on the game, here’s my balanced view on Enzo. -He should have made more changes to the starting XI. When you look back to earlier in the season, he wasn’t afraid to rotate and we were still picking up wins. -He is too late with his subs and his in game management needs a lot of work. -He is a serial overthinker. Why did he stop Ricardo from being inverted last night? Why did he swap KDH and N’Didi? Some very small but unnecessary changes in my view. However, I think it’s a little premature to call for his head. We are on course to finish on 90+ points at our first attempt back to the PL. People are too focused on the 17 point lead, we were never going to finish on 2.5 points per game let’s be honest (that would leave us at 116 for the season). He has also inherited half a team of cast outs that didn’t really get a look in last season. In terms of the style, I totally understand why he prefers us to control the game. The few times we bombed forward from counter attack last night, we got left exposed at the back and they had half chances. We have the slowest CBs in the league arguably, so bombing forward is not the answer IMO. Having said that, we need to be much quicker in possession. Our best play came from when we zipped it around with one touch football. Players looked jaded and offered no movement to Faes & Vestergaard who just ended up playing it around the back. It’s still in our hands. And I also think 1 of the 2 teams below us will fall off. I’m bought into the style, considering he only joined us last summer he’s done a great job getting players’ buy in. I just think we lack quality in some areas and need another busy summer of refreshing the squad (hopefully in the PL). And he definitely needs to improve in some areas too. You just hope he learns from his mistakes, so far we’re seeing the Rodgers style stubbornness which he needs to get out of his system.
  17. Not been overly impressed with them personally, but as we showed earlier in the season you don’t need to play well every week to win games. Naturally they will be favourites to get autos but they have the toughest run in IMO. Let’s see.
  18. Must’ve been watching different games as I thought he looked really good. Not surprising how poor we’ve been without him in the team.
