This photo sums up how we defend. Our WHOLE team is in the box, no-one covers three Newcastle players at the far post: GOAL. My son's U17 team knows better than that.

He was megged from ten yards for goal no.4. That was 100% vintage Danny.

Danny is no Yashin, but those two set him up pretty bad today. Need at least half a dozen of better players…otherwise it’s the plank walk for us.

Same can be said about most of our players in the dreadful 2022/23 season. Just shows how much a very good manager can do for a team.

Hermansen is THE best keeper in the PL today...as plain as daylight for the big time clubs to start making inroads to his agent.

Faes on the bench is the best place for him...and the fans.

Collectively the midfield was bollocks; it is they, not the defence that allowed 30 shots on goal. Say what you want about the way we played, but without Hermansen's heroics we are as good as gone.

If the new manager forbids him venturing more than ten yards outside the box, he may be quite useful. I think what is more important than selling Faes is getting better midfielders who don't lose the ball so much and make our defenders look worse for wear. Yes, Faes is painfully slow..

The club could easily sell him for 20-25 million, based on the name recognition alone. We certainly would not be any worse with his name stricken off the book.

Vardy and Buonanotte fought honorably. Harmansen had an off night (meaning no miracle saves). Thomas wasn’t that terrible, which is a surprise The worst ones, Faes, Justin, Coady…

Nothing surprising for me today: the bad ones were bad, the good ones were good. Desperately need four confident defenders, otherwise we are as good as done. The baseless arrogance of Faes is humiliating to the fans. Overall, a horrible team that isn’t fit for the League, Cooper or no Cooper…

I wonder if there’s a statistic demonstrating the number of losses resulting from his errors. I am willing to wager that us dropping into the Championship had been a direct consequence of his inane and bizarre mistakes. Him and Danny aka the human spider…

My review of this match in a nutshell: Bloody Awful…

Almost 80% possession in the first half...no goal. Mavididi should have been replaced after 20 minutes. The unlikeliest of scorers, Winks has had the most shots so far...wtf. COOPER - OUT!!!

Ayew did really well also. Manager and Okoli were my lowest rated - 3 apiece.

What will the new manager do? Will he make these grown men better players? Our defense is a sieve. I don't care is Faes plays for the Belgian selection...it's their problem. And JJ is not the same since his injury. Desperately needing two high quality defenders. I see the same problem with my son's Under-17 side: bad defending ruins games, good defending inspires against stronger teams.

Faes is extremely inconsistent: there's no way to predict what he will do in the box. This inconsistency to me indicates that he's not a PL caliber player. Nothing personal, but he's got to be find another league for himself; he'd be happier somewhere else. That being said, it won't happen until we finally find a very good central defender. We are in desperate need.

A dark part of me was hoping we'd lose 1:5. That could've been the last straw for Mre.Cooper. At this point we can't change the players, but we can change the manager... ...This bizarre one after another series of high balls into the box, which were duly headed away by the Florist defenders...this was just bizarre. If we don't buy at least one excellent central defender, we are as good as done. Two stand-out players today: Hermansen and Faes...both displayed what was expected from them. One - some amazing saves, the other...something so bizarre and so stupid that one was just left speechless.

One can surely rely on Faes to produce something so spectacularly-stupid that it leaves you speechless.

This manager is really clueless...we are even DESPITE him.

No-one seems to be wanting the ball, aside from him.
