  1. Surely given how the pitch is aswell seeing as it looks a flat track. Lost this when he put them in to bat.
  2. Needs to stop opening in this. We are always a couple down early on.
  3. Don't know why this keeps happening, it's like he forgets who has bowled how many overs. And can he never win the toss again please, clearly doesn't know what he's doing putting them in on that pitch.
  4. I just want a season of excitement good football and goals, attacking football and hopefully us in the top 6. If we are mid table ish going for play offs and it's exciting decent football I will be happy, I'm not too fussed about trying to compete in the prem anymore. We've won it, tons of teams will never even get close.
  5. It's still first world problems isn't it compared to what position we are in now. We lost a lot at home but won loads away?? As you say covid made home advantage count for little. Maybe some people could see what was coming and I applaud them, but I'm sure the vast majority at the time acknowledged they were heady days.
  6. Yes. This was the point. Spurs away 6-2 absolute debacle, international break, Sack him, and we might have stayed up.
  7. Well you must have been able to see the future then, or were hugely ungrateful. I'm sorry but a cup win and 5th is pretty much the best season our club has ever had apart from the title win
  8. It's still a totally different ball game bottling a top 4 place to being in a so called decline. If there's some out there who predicted after the fa Cup win we would be relegated 3 years later then good on you but I don't think anyone for saw what happened. The season you focus on when we played Roma etc is totally different, there are people on here saying we should have sacked Rodgers after winning a trophy like Spurs have done but it's ridiculous, they finished 17th we were 5th.
  9. The FA Cup season we finished 5th. 5th. Fifth. In the Premier league. The decline was the next two seasons. Hindsight is amazing isn't it? There's not one person who wanted Rodgers out at all at that time it would have been mental.
  10. Boro have had to rely on young players and loans, as a rookie coach he's done pretty well by all accounts so far. I'm sure if Carrick had Southamptons budget and squad he would have got them up too.
  11. Absolutely delighted to eat my words. Brilliant win. Lost the toss, probably picked the wrong side ( no need for Scriven or Walker) and Jennings at the start wacking it everywhere. Then brilliant bowling in the middle and despite a poor start (again) from the openers, some fine batting from Cox Ahmed and Trevaskis. Massive to win away here, what a season it's been so far.
  12. Kimber only has one mode and it's slog. Very poor especially as he was set and like you say we onlg need 6 an over, stupid batting so far.
  13. Far from easy on this pitch but wickets in hand is crucial and we lose the openers yet again for nothing. We need a big partnership here from Rehan and Billy Kimber.
  14. Not the start we wanted at all, yet again.
  15. Exactly what I was thinking, odd line up and that lack of batters will probably cost us. Need a good start.
  16. Mixed. Trevaskis and Rehan were exceptional the rest very average. And that last ball was a farce, should have been an easy catch and ended up being 4 runs somehow. I think those last 3 overs were pretty costly and on this pitch with their 4 spinners and bowling attack I think we still struggle to get that score. Hope I'm wrong.
  17. Brilliant post, best I've read on here in ages, and spot on. This appointment is absolutely crucial and Cleverley would be too big a risk right now.
  18. I'm not surprised at all he wants to go. Club is a shambles and he has been here ages and wants a new challenge. Plus although he might be in a fair wage here he will still be able to pick up 50 or 60k a week in Turkey or Portugal or somewhere like that. When fully fit in his first couple of seasons here, he was amazing, probably best RB in the league. Then in the champ under Maresca he was best MF in the league and was a big part of us getting back up. Will always be loved but don't blame him one bit for getting out now.
  19. Come off it, he'd absolutely be frothing at the mouth. He lives fairly local, our facilities and size of club, decent payday, if he fails just blame the finances and behind the scenes. Anyone half decent would still take the job because we have such amazing facilities and potential.
  20. We did well to make a game of it after that start. I've never liked Ravi Bopara.
  21. I couldn't find a stream on YouTube is it just me or us there not one?
  22. Yeah I'm on about off the pitch too, can only comment on what I see, just seems like he thinks he's better than he is, but guess what you see in the media is different from how he is day to day.
  23. Wow 20 for 5. Great start to the season but looks like a loss today. Looks like it was a good toss to win for Northants.
  24. He may well be decent mate just comes across as a bit of a nob, and his full kit taking over interviews after the final he wasn't involved in was a bit cringe.
  25. He was just as much of a twat and still is. Good player though.
