Im guessing there hasn't been an update on James' injury and when he will be back? Last I heard on it was from MC about 3 weeks ago. In any case, he will require 2-3 weeks to get up to speed after recovery.

It sums it up that after 55 minutes when 3-0 up I was still concerned we wouldn't win and felt we needed another one to seal it -

Our left side is an absolute disgrace. Mavididi and Thomas are lazy and weak and have no desire to put in the hard yards and track runners. The amount of times in that 2nd half their players were running off Mavididi to the byline for crosses -
3 winnable games without a proper manager in and 3 defeats. May as well have kept Cifuentes if you're not appointing anyone

Any bang average championship manager grinds out a boring win against this dross tonight, but unfortunately we've dithered around again.

As DOF, its literally Rudkins job to advise him that playing total football - with a squad in free fall and short on confidence - is not conducive to a relegation battle. You need to get back to basics. Pick up a clean sheet for once. Then grind out a gritty, ugly win and go from there. This is what Rowett has experience with at Birmingham and Oxford last year. Although Birmingham went down under him, he picked up 3 wins and 2 draws from 8 games and Oxford seen an uplift in form as well. He also had Millwall outside of the play offs, before we had become accustomed to seeing them in that region of the table.

Rowett should have been in the door 2 weeks ago (until the end of the season).
-
To some on here he had his best game of the season. Very telling. I thought he had his usual 4/10 performance. Just realised you were talking about the Birmingham winger, but point still stands about mavididi.

In that instance though, I just don't trust them to not sign Joe Aribo on a 3 year deal on 40k a week.

6 points from that would have been a poor return. We got 1.

Even if we stay up this season, we are going to lose Fatawu and James for next season. There's no way this lot will adequately replace the lost goals and assists. We'd be amongst the favourites for the drop again thr season after in my view.

Clearly it was Maresca (laughably) or no-one. No contingency plan. Just King until the end of the season.
