All it would take is a little bit of fact checking, but as with most journalists these days they are lazy and poorly researched.

Sometimes people speak things in to existence, as Rodgers did with that abhorrent relegation. In a poor season, that squad would be 11th or 12th in the Premier league. I think that happened to some extent this season as well.

They've got us and Birmingham at home, a poor Stoke away and are currently out of the relegation zone. I'd say they've got a lot of hope.

And vociferously applauding the pre match montage again. Never ceases to amaze me that these people can bang their hands to together, in total awe of events which took place a decade ago whilst the club is currently in dire straits, is getting worse and may never recover. For some it seems to be just a virtue signalling exercise as they seem to look around at others while they do it, as if to say "look at me im a true fan".

Are we on the verge of being footballs greatest 10 year collapse?

Or just the 8 years between 2008 and 2016. -

Spring 2017-Spring 2019 it was pretty bang average. As good as winning the league and cup was, I do think we probably should have even won more. If only Kante had given us another season. I think we might have gotten past Atletico to the semi finals of the champions league. Roma in the conference league was a 50/50 game as well. Win that and we win the competition in my eyes. Not to forget the league cup near miss in 2020. Probably never again as well, at least in my lifetime. -
In all seriousness there's no way I'd suggest that semi pro standard manager, but who knows maybe we will see him on the way down when we need promotion from league 2
-
Excruciating season for them with that and losing 2 cup finals - one of them to us in the replay after we equalised in the last minute. Painful.

Agreed. Before it even started I thought we'd go behind and score a 2nd half equaliser and some would be talking about what a "top point/cracking little point" it was ala James maddison circa 2023 at Brentford away when about to get relegated.
-
Its a midtable team who have just beaten a bottom 6/7 team away and another midtable team at home.
-
£10 million is a drop in the ocean in our situation. Still think we'd get nearer £20 million even in league 1. Despite that, he's hardly someone who I'd count on for a team supposedly with ambitions of pushing for European places.
-
Out of interest, what do you perceive his value to be?
-
Daka certainly wasnt
-
We went down with 52 points in the only time we have been relegated to league 1 last time. We wont get to 52 even with the 6 points added back on, so yes.
-
Daka had about 3 on his own
-
If we had an average championship striker we'd be 3-1 up
