  1. As much as I don't rate a lot of our players, its disgraceful one runs on to boos.
  2. Winks already a massive upgrade on anything we had in midfield first half. Suddenly winks, BEK, Fatawu playing together
  3. Rather see Monga and BEK behind Ayew with just winks holding, get the two midfielders off, maybe with JJ or Thomas, or chowdhury coming on for Thomas to step in to support winks.
  4. Have we? We didn't score for now many games last season? We have very little fire power.
  5. Our midfield is terrible. We need winks on. We're just playing in front of them hoping our wingers can beat their man but they're being doubled and tripled up on. Let's see what our new manager can do.
  6. I generally think our fans are slightly delusional from our glory years. Don't take it too personal, there are very many that he's to understand we got relegated because our players aren't very good.
  7. You sure about that?
  8. I warned people that our players aren't all that. But they wouldn't have it. "Delusions of grandeur"
  9. I see this sort of thing written quite a bit but I'm really not sure about how true it is. I think Fatawu, Mavididi, BEK (who we might but get to keep) and Winks (if he plays) are too good for the division. Beyond that, Ricardo is another 2 years older since we were last in the championship, Faes, vestergaard who got us up last time might be good enough but we are playing a different system. Monga, Nelson look quality but it's very early. The rest are bang average or below.
  10. Can understand why we've sold him but it really is a sign of how much we've messed up. He could've been our number 1 for a decade with better play acquisition and decision making.
  11. Get them picking crops, dealing with potholes, picking litter, lawnmowers verges, the stuff that either doesn't get done currently, or where we use immigrants ordinarily, so we could use these ones in their place.
  12. I think it isn't helped by the fact that a proportion of the older population cannot bear the idea they didn't have it worse. You routinely see online comments and older people on question time and the like angrily talking about how they had to struggle and how the young want everything. Even a slight glance at historic housing cost data shows it's far harder now, but there's definitely a fair proportion of the elderly that simply resent the idea it's harder now. Obviously this doesn't apply to all older people, but the loudest voices are often those with these sorts of views. It's also that same older population that has tended, on average, to vote for Tory austerity, endless public sector wage restraint, ever more swingeing benefit cuts (at a time when benefits are mainly supporting poorly paying jobs) etc, while any slight removal of anything from the elderly leads to outrage. We've literally watched youth centres, sure start, public spaces for the young etc all cut, while triple locked pensions have seen double digit rises in some years. The young really need to start voting. And not for the snake oil salesman.
  13. Just let them work as other countries do while claims are being processed. Get them doing useful tasks to help the country and earn their keep.
  14. You're not watching 18 rated films without having done something. They have an age check system in place.
  15. The new ID checks on porn websites are a good thing that should have been done years ago. Negativity around them is caused by right wing 'news' outlets and Labour's political opponents who complain about everything they do anyway. You have to do ID checks to get a mobile phone, a Netflix account, and many other things. It's no different, and in fact more important with porn imo.
  16. Really need to have winks in the first team. Whatever happened last season, he's a cut above the championship and he needs to play. Skipp do okay alongside him but he feels like a bench player really.
  17. Yeah sporting activities only
  18. Yeah it's really nasty, the design looks like something Primark would come up with rather than Adidas. It's a shocker.
  19. Went in club shop today and looked at the home kit. Interesting to see them all without sponsors but tbh I thought the kit was horrific.
  20. Great servant of the club. Really likeable player who always gave his all, even though he never quite got back to his best after injuries. Hope he goes on and enjoys some European football during the rest of his career.
  21. A bit of me thinks he does it so he can buy the dip himself.
  22. Akinbiyi was a far better player.
  23. Praet was a far better player.
  24. I imagine he'll start the season on the bench and finish it in the team
