I remember from Pleat onwards. It's Peter Taylor. It's not even close.

I often think what we're currently going through over vaccines, climate change and other forms of anti-science rhetoric, is like a fall into the dark ages (accepting that term isn't really used now).
-
The question here is did she intentionally lie. Ie is it potentially fraudulent, or was it an error, so not fraudulent. She's likely to have to give more information but her initial explanation doesn't sound unreasonable.

Wish I'd stuck more than £300 on this now 😂

I suppose I look at taxation a bit differently. If we're going to tax then we have to tax someone for something. Nobody likes any tax in theory, but also nobody suggests tax shouldn't exist at all. Stamp duty is at least a progressive tax - those that have more money pay more. If you get rid of it, fine, but what are you replacing it with? If reports are true Labour are possibly looking at replacing it with a different form of property tax, but I guarantee the same commentators (I don't mean you here, I mean paid for online/TV commentators) that complain about stamp duty will complain even louder about the new version - whatever it ends up being - as they're basically paid to complain about any progressive taxation.

She doesn't part own the first property. The trust owns the property. The issue is if her child died before her, technically she could end up a beneficiary of the trust. So she's bought the new house and says she doesn't own a house - which is true - but not advised about the trust situation.
-
Jon the hat set out the AR position perfectly and it's fairly obviously a complicated set up. I don't doubt it was an honest mistake though yes any previous government minister would probably have gotten pelters for it. The facts around the trust and situation with the child probably has made it more complicated and I'm inclined to think she's got the wrong advice rather than intentionally evading the tax.

You appear to have read, but not understood, what I've written.

You go to university to learn how to think, analyse information, learn new ways of communicating, basically a whole range of skills that are sought after by employers. The subject isn't that important aside from technical subjects. If you want to go on to work in a specific field you get a masters. As somebody that recruits graduates for my team, I think this is often misunderstood by people that didn't go to uni. The subject isn't important in most cases, what they've learnt skill wise is. Those crusading against university seem to do so from a position of not understanding what it's for imo.

Not much has changed

Oh absolutely but in a way that's the point I'm making. If you're going to be the green party, then make our response to climate change your one single stand out policy, and ditch all the divisive left wing policies that might cause people to disagree with you. Think they'd get more votes that way.
-
I'd rather the greens were more centrist so they garnered greater support. Think they miss out on many votes because of their left wing sensibilities (and I say that as a left wing voter myself). The green issue is too big a deal to attach it to politics that don't appeal as wisely as possible. That said, they'd only damage the chances of Farage's defeat, as you say. Unfortunately on the left we all like perfection so split ourselves into small factions that can't win a FPTP election.

If he was contracted to stay overnight the wouldn't be an issue. Clearly he isn't. Maybe you should lose the jealousy when thinking about his situation.

Get rid -
Firstly neither the Tories nor reform are going to be socialising oil and gas exploration any time soon. Second GCH is the past not future. You need to move on and let us leave fossil energy behind, which we have no choice but to do. Heat pumps exist.
-
All of our oil and gas are sold on the international markets. We don't keep it. We sell licences to international oil companies.

Can't blame him. From where he's come from he's ended up a millionaire living in a mansion in Italy. That's the dream right there.

Will Alves (loaned to Huddersfield, official)

No but he's dropped behind a number of youth prospects and is leaving to get game time as he won't get it here. -
Why have the Tories decided being anti-science is a good thing? Really ridiculous. Everybody is so busy playing Farage at his own game that all sense has been lost. In what way will allowing runaway climate change conserve anything? BBC News - Tories pledge to get all oil and gas out of North Sea https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cp890n51684o

Clearly not going to be the player we'd hoped given no city manager so far has fancied him. Has dropped behind Page and Silko Thomas in midfield, and was already behind McAteer on the wing. Unless we genuinely believe he's suddenly going to break through we'd be better off selling. -
Austerity isn't a centrist policy. It was not remotely based on general economic thought. It was an attempt to shrink the state through cuts. The lib dems wouldn't have been voting for that on their own.
-
It's right wing economics through austerity that has wrecked the country, not centrism.

Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)

TBF Leif Davis is a great little player. Genuinely can't believe a decent premier League team hasn't gone in for him.
