King Power: A Tale of Rise and Ruin
The Year Of The Fox replied to MattFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
I’d say 70% of our fan base still think Top is the messiah Of the remaining 30%, 25% are happy to do nothing more than moan about him and ask when he’s selling up. -

Premier League 2025/26 Thread

Unbelievable -
Does it matter?

I’d be really quite happy if King got it. At least we know of him, and he knows us, rather than tenuous links to managers none of us had heard of 3 months ago. In fact, it might be the first thing that starts drawing me back in. He’s seen the worst of us, and the best. Was fairly integral during Pearson’s eras too, and a Pearson type era is PRECISELY what the club needs right now. Not to set us up for another PL title, but to weed out the dross, the slackers, the bad eggs and the passengers. Establish some pride in the club, pride for playing for the badge. They’re the first steps for recovery

Amen Grown men in here as well.

Ridiculous isn’t it? Foxestalk is great, but 71 pages, the topic going ‘Hot’, people seemingly in a panic I over either a) His budget b) Which day it’ll be announced and I’ve just read that apparently there’s never even been a reputable source linking him. Ridiculous

Pardon?

No, not sarcastic in the slightest Personally I don’t indulge in conjecture, whether it be points deductions, fines, players signing nor managerial appointments The amount of times fans have overhyped any sort of signing for them to turn out to be shite, from Silva to Tete to Daka. And to then underwhelmed when signing Vardy. I didn’t want Pearson after saving Southampton at our expense in 08, and I laughed at the Ranieri appointment too. Just goes to show that you never know the answer. Some clubs are a good fit for a person at the time (Nige) Other clubs could sign peak Messi and he be made to look shite

Can you put up an option for ‘I dont know, and won’t know, until he’s been here 1 year.’ ? Please

Only basing it on my golf courses predicament, but we had an issue on some greens earlier in the summer. The disease got killed but because growth was limited (verging on nil) the grass didn’t come back for ages

There’s absolutely no way we’d be in this mess under him.

I love Pearson more than the next guy, but given what happened I wouldn’t say it was a shame (retrospectively of course)
