Our annual losses for last season were nearly as much as the 3 year rolling allowable losses that will be imposed on next years accounts. If we don’t get promoted and face the future fines/points deduction with income that is declining (parachute payments) year on year the club will have no choice but to function at a fraction of what it has been doing regardless if Top has money to spend

But moving forward it’s going to be hard to fall in line with PSR in the coming years because we will only be allowed losses of 87m if we do get promoted for the next 3 financial years

Plus this years losses are only 17.5 allowed

Rudkin needs to go, how the club could still bloat the squad this year with 4GKS 2 that have not had a sniff of game time, on a substantial wage as after these financial findings were apparent 12 months ago. I hope Top stays but gets successful staff and board level.

Don’t think we do need to sell this is last years account, we will have massively exceeded this seasons anyway as it’s half the normal annual losses for a championship season. I think it’s imperative for the future of the club we get promoted though

I don’t think it was sneaked I just think players were more likely agree to have it in place due the our standing as pl club at the time. Percy said there were but how much intel he has now I don’t know.

Staying in the prem wouldn’t have counted for that years losses. TV money for pl is already factored in. That will be relevant in next years accounts for this season.

But those figures were offset by the sacking of Brendan Rodgers and his coaching staff in April 2023, and a lower-than budgeted league position. Did he deserve to be sacked for finishing 8th January yeah, but that’s not 9 months prior

What could they do apart from sell more players? we were in the relegation places nearly a whole season selling players sounds great in hindsight as we were relegated, but there would’ve been uproar if a major fire sale took place in jan with our prem future on the line

Probably because those fees didn’t make a significant difference, in next years accounts you are only allowed to make 87m losses over the 3 seasons and knew we would fall foul over PSR it’s but they want to have the best chance of returning to the PL in response to your North Leeds fox in your post
