  1. I guess it’s how creative you can get now days. Villa with a similar wages to turnover ratio as we had, sell the women’s team to a parent company nothing to see there. The player swaps a while back, nothing to see there. Player 'swaps' can be mutually beneficial for two or more clubs who need to make a quick profit." Maguire lays out a hypothetical scenario in which 'Club A’ has a former academy player who it would normally look to sell for £8m, while 'Club B' has a former academy player it would usually value at £10m. "However, if a swap deal is made there is nothing to stop the 'official' price to be £28m and £30m," explains Maguire. "This way there is still a cash settlement of £2m, but the profits in the accounts are £28m and £30m - fantastic for PSR. The additional cost of signing both players is then spread using amortisation over the contract life of five years, so is effectively kicked down the road. "Given that it is so difficult to determine the market price for a player, the swap market can be seen as exploiting a weakness in the rules, but is not necessarily breaching anything."
  2. He didn’t start the first four games we got 9/12 The next 9 he started 10/27
  3. I was alluding to the point of the manager saying he was eager to go to a good club.
  4. Makes it awkward when he comes back after Monaco have realised he is dog shit and don’t want him.
  5. I didn’t mean by looks I meant by the cartoon filter smoothing, ok crack on keep uploading
  6. Not sure it’s 80s I think they call it a Katie Price special. Probably best to move on Helen.
  7. On a side note just saw this pop up
  8. Not long as there are only 2 parachute payments should we stay in the league. So if the cash is utilised prematurely, and not for the second season then there will have to be another substantial source of income to assist in the 2nd season.
  9. I had already edited the previous post, I saw there was a rule change to stop the “gaming of the system” 👍🏻
  10. I think it drops every year, Parachute payments Given to clubs relegated from the Premier League in the last three years (and not promoted in that period) 55% of equal share in Year One 45% in Year 2 20% in Year 3 Edit, no you’re correct there was a rule change in 2016/17 to stop clubs gaming the system
  11. 45% of the stake wouldn’t be that much, but if Terraloon is correct and he seems fairly well versed in these matters it’s being potentially used to aid cash flow for some reason.
  12. What about if they do the same thing again next season? And utilise the 20 percent early if we are still a championship side in the hope that by then overheads have massively reduced and we are much more inline with championship financials by season 3
  13. Or a shit or bust approach this season by utilising the second parachute payment and either spend or limit breaches this season
  14. Doesn’t it just mean they are extending, expecting a further season in the champ. Or are they trying to borrow against the the next 45% now "Receivables" means all of the Central Funds due or owing to or which may be due or owing to or purchased or otherwise acquired or received by the Borrower from the Premier League for the period from and including February 2026 up to and including June 2027, in each case together with all ancillary and security rights thereto;
  15. Isn’t the accumulative effect taken into account, when punishments are decided? Also I’d hate to think how bad the negotiations for outgoing players could get, if we get another failed season that’s out in the public domain.
  16. Tbf she is sticking up for a (alleged) relative and wading through a shit ton of abuse as well.
  17. I don’t think that’s true, more a case of a player signed for the prem on a hefty wage has made it public knowledge that he didn’t want to be here twice in 2 years, the year we went up he wasn’t under the microscope because the team was performing well, and there was a lot less pressure on the defence. This season after another relegation he has again performed poorly. He isn’t the only one no, but he is one of the higher earners and along with the others get more criticism because of it.
  18. It will be interesting to see if there is another breach tomorrow, clubs would be offering even less if so when they know we are further in the shit
  19. Seems reasonable
  20. Nothing changes though, it just gets worse. Shitter managers, shitter players. Points deductions, no transfers. It’s unlikely Top would cut his losses with the club on its arse in the worst state it’s been in for a long time. There will be some sort of deluded belief that he can near replicate what his father achieved, or at the very least make the us a prem club, because he was there to see it first hand.
  21. Didn’t want to play in the championship the first time, then didn’t want to play on the left side of defence and surprised by lack of new recruits last year and wanted to leave. Shame he wasn’t as good as he thought or might’ve had a better offer than a Turkish team and not had to wait 2 years until a desperate Monaco took a punt and even then only as a loan.
  22. Percy said in August 24 Leicester are hopeful of avoiding breaches for last season after completing the £30 million sale of Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Chelsea, while also banking £10 million in compensation for manager Enzo Maresca before June 30. I don’t know if the contested year they argued was the relegation year prior, due to the unforeseen loss of income finishing 18th and sacking Rodgers. All the seasons seem to role into one as there has been so much mismanagement
