https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2023/02/28/leicester-in-talks-to-beat-nottingham-forest-to-20m-tielemans-replacement/ In talks for the Inters Italian international midfielder?
-
Kent starting today, so I really do think the 'transfer talk' is just his Agent 'bumping' Rangers into giving him a better contract.
-
Yep, you are right. I suppose any loan then, will just be an extended 'trial'?
-
As I said on the Souttar thread, when Sambiasso said an Attacking Midfielder / Winger could be coming in on loan, Ryan Kent totally fits that description. With him out of contract at Rangers this summer, a loan with an option to buy, could be on. Or it could just be a wheeze by his Agent to get a better contract there. I've never been entirely persuaded by him (and I saw him a bit for Liverpool Under 21's) and quality in the the SPL has never been a great indicator for the EPL. But I guess an initial loan could be a good way of checking out his pedigree.
-
Kent definitely fits the attacking midfield / winger description that Sambiasso used.
-
Nah - another right footed left winger - we don't want another. And with SERIOUS attitude problems. Avoid at all costs. Anyway, it almost certainly is the work of another agent, trying to bump up a better contract.

Everton will have an even harder time than us, of negotiating a deal and getting it through in time. They are way behind in the queue, starting late, 'cos of putting eggs in the Danjuma basket. And of course, the Geordies signing Gordon, is good for us, they (probably) won't want Tielemans or Maddison as well.
-
Iversen won't be going to Stoke. Wolves No 2 Keeper, Sarkic is on his way on loan now. So, IF we get Souttar, it will probably be a straight cash deal.
-
In that case, they would get rid of Harry Wilson and I would take him. Exactly the same position. And we have been linked with him before.
-
We don't need another right footed left winger - we desperately need a left footed right winger!

What site is all that injury detail from? It's very comprehensive.

https://www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/news/2023/january/stolarczyk-loan-recall/ With Stolarczyk being recalled, I'm guessing Iversen is on his way out. Smithies to be Number 2, Stolarczyk, 3? And Stoke is the most likely destination, with Alex Neil already a big fan. A (part) swap with Souttar?
-
Agree with that Smiv. For me, Albrighton was overall MotM, making such a difference when he came on. Tielemans was great in the second half, but a bit anonymous in the first. And Perez COULD have been the main guy, if not for that 'open goal' miss and generally being crap anywhere near the opposition box, he was (amazingly?!) pretty dominant in the middle third, with his control, awareness and passing. There IS a decent CENTRAL MIDFIELDER there, but we will never see it.
-
Why are we losing Amartey? His contract may be up in the summer, but I would have thought he would want to stay now he is a regular starter and the club may feel he has done enough recently, to extend.

Wigan appointing Kolo Toure
Outfox the Fox replied to Outfox the Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
That was my thought. Knudsen coming in as Set Piece Coach could well have been with a view to getting the main Defensive Coach job, if Toure left. Although Bilbo's mate, I'm sure even he realises that Toure was a bit of a disaster, given our defensive record of late. Knudsen has really made an impact and fully deserves a promotion. -
https://insidefutbol.com/2022/11/18/leicester-city-set-to-lose-coach-championship-club-closing-in/585616/ Wigan on the verge of appointing Toure as Manager. I hope Knudsen gets a promotion, he's done far better than Toure in sorting our defence out.

So we have 7 in Qatar:- England - Maddison Wales - Ward Belgium - Tielemans, Castagne & Faes Ghana - Amartey Senegal - Mendy In true patriotic spirit, I guess that would have to be my top 5 for the competition, but, realistically, I'd be happy for a Belgium WC win (but only if all 3 City are involved) PS It would be nice to see a Denmark team with Kasp also doing well, though that goodwill doesn't apply to Maguire, who I would like to see warming the bench for the whole Tournament. And Kramaric as Golden Boot, to rub it in to Rudkin?!
-
I don't know why most on here think Hennessey will picked ahead of Ward. He had a couple of 'mares in the Nations Cup (and I think only picked in that tinpot Tournament as a thanks for long service) and (most importantly) has hardly had a full League game in the last couple of years (just warming the bench at Forest). Ward is a regular PL starter and now really looking the business. At the very least, I think Page will give both a start in the WC Group games.

It was cal212121, in the Wes Morgan thread on 19 September. You're right a proper ITK. I'll have to check if he's posted anything else. -
