Daka played 82 mins for Zambia in the Friendly International v South Africa. They lost 3-1. Guess what ..... PD didn't score!
-
Is BDR not in the Jamaica squad for this week's Internationals (they've got 2 World Cup qualifying games, including a crucial one against Curaçao)? The Mercury haven't mentioned him in their list of players away.
-
I doubt they'll go for him in January, he probably won't play any games for us until mid Jan, so won't be able to prove that he's fit enough, to justify anyone taking him on.

I agree with all that. I've been giving him the benefit of doubt up to now, but the whole business of Ben Nelson, is so indicative of a Manager who hasn't got the nous to handle his team. Selections for the Boro game just illustrated his complete lack of awareness of what's needed and how to get the best out of his players. We know the squad is pretty sh**e, but surely other Manager's could wring something out of it (and their necks, if they didn't perform!)?

Leicester v Middlesboro - Tuesday 4th November

Aluko & Popov both withdrawn early from the Man City U21 game - I wonder if they're in line for a First team call up for Boro? -
Protest at the Boro game. Mass walk out?

I agree. Fosseway has said it so succinctly and accurately, we really have become a s**t show in 2/3 years. It started in the final year of Bilbo Rodgers and has (significantly) deteriorated ever since. That more ominous Tolkienesque figure, Rudkin (you can imagine him brooding in Mordor!!) has led us far away from the Shire, towards the darkness. Oh for a Gandalf, to bring us back! -

Julián Carranza joins on loan - Official
Outfox the Fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He's taller than I thought - Wikipedia has him at 1.76m (5'9"), but Transfermarkt (more reliable) puts him at 1.82m - just under 6'. So, a build better suited as a target man / sole striker than I thought. It seems Feyenoord haven't played him in that role, the few starts for them, have been as a 'false No 9' (behind the main striker) - not even in a two - most of his 21 appearances (4 goals) have been mainly as a Sub. Philadelphia used him as a sole centre forward and he had a very decent scoring record for them - 35 goals from 76 appearances. -
Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)
Outfox the Fox replied to jonny_wright's topic in Transfer Talk
https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/transfer-drama-not-over-leicester-10472035 Mercury talking up a move for Faes to Belgium or Turkey. Both still have transfer windows open. He's been told by the Belgium Manager that he needs to move, or play more regularly at City, to keep his place in the national squad. -
Thanks, I've corrected the typo, High Peak!
-
Our 25 man squad has to be named today (7pm), we still have more than 25 players (over the age of 21) - who will be in and who will be out? The only obvious omission, will be Souttar, who probably won't be fully fit and available, much before January.
-
I was thinking the same. If El K and Justin are not there, cos they're probably on the move, perhaps the same for Mavididi. The Besiktas link for Faes, could have been aimed at Mavididi - or perhaps its a buy one (Ndidi), get 3?!

Match Ratings: Charlton 0-1 Leicester City - Vote Now

What's going on here - there were quite a few votes done, now they've all disappeared!? -
https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/leicester-city-keen-on-millwall-striker-mihailo-ivanovic-marti-cifuentes-plots-ambitious-transfer-raid/ Football League World I know, but on the basis of a 'stopped clock tells the right time, twice a day', perhaps this is correct!

https://www.footballinsider247.com/exclusive-leicester-city-and-norwich-city-in-race-to-sign-yegor-tverdokhlib/ Us and Norwich in for a Ukrainian midfielder. IF we are, no doubt Norwich will win!

https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/leicester-city-transfer-plans-revealed-after-hermansen-ndidi-windfall/ So, if this is to be believed (and I do), we're only looking at Loans & Free Transfers, this window. All incoming funds will be directed to wages and satisfying PSR. That woukd curtail any further interest in many of the players we've been linked with (eg Kone, even though he was available for less than £5m). One possibility that might happen then, Brownhill - on a Free, but with biggish wages.
-
With Kone likely to be on his way to QPR, I wonder if we might be actually in for Salech. I see he was subbed early for Cardiff on Thursday - though that's probably cos he didn't look like scoring!

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
Outfox the Fox replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
With Spurs one of the clubs interested in Bilal, I wonder if there's a deal to be done for Vuskovic. https://www.foxestalk.co.uk/topic/127602-twitter-transfer-rumours/?do=findComment&comment=7831149 -

Asmir Begovic - Officially Signs
Outfox the Fox replied to ozleicester's topic in Leicester City Forum
https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/glyn-thompson/profil/trainer/99413 Yep, Thompson been with us a while. Now also part time GK Coach with the Afghan National team. As you'll see, an experienced EFL keeper. He would do a good job, pending AB doing his Pro Licence - though UEFA B is pretty high up the scale of qualifications. -
Andrew Sparkes is the Goalkeeping Coach at QPR (and was under MC), there have been rumours that Stephan wants to bring in his own man, so Sparkes might be following Cifuentes & Calm out of Loftus Road. We also need an Analyst - we haven't had one since Cooper left. Perhaps, Sam Tuohy might be in line, he was Head of Analysis under MC, but moved to Chelsea in an Academy role a year ago (probably more money, but not a career move)?
