Looks like he's the option, if one or both of Akgun or Rak-Sakyi don't happen.
-
https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-leicester-city-ready-to-accept-23m-patson-daka-offer/ Can't believe we'll get anything near £23m for him - even from the likes of Monaco.
-
https://www.footballfancast.com/leicester-city-harwood-bellis-evans-championship-news-transfer-update/ Sounds like a £15m offer could be happening.

We're not in the PL now. We can't afford to pay decent money, or waste loans, getting 2 players for the same position and keep both happy. If we do look to fill out a squad, they will have to be versatile and able to play across the park. Rak-Sakyi doesn't do that.
-
Won't happen if we buy Akgun, as expected. We won't get 2 right wingers.
-
With what LL says about Nacho, I wouldn't be surprised if all the Piroe speculation ramps up again. Its all gone very quiet about him - links with us and everyone else have dried up - but the window fast approaches!
-
Wouldn't be surprised if attention switches back to Piroe again, now.
-
Gouveia. He has played on the left wing for much of his career, but as a right footed player, he has a fair bit of experience playing on tbe right wing. And he offers so much more - playing as a central striker occasionally.
-
Of course, our Assistant Manager was Reserve keeper at Southampton last season. IF he's registered still, that's Hermansen, Stolarczyk, Iversen, Ward and Caballero!

GD not going to happen if we get Rak-Sakyi. Both left footed right wingers.
-
He is that elusive thing - a left footed right winger! I think this might be a goer - he was a West Ham Academy and U21 player, when Maresca was Coach there.
-
https://www.footballfancast.com/leicester-cityu-foxes-transfer-news-update-manchester-city-cole-palmer/ Still a possibility we might get him.
-
Ah, but he must be happy being Wales' Number 1 now (even though they're going down the pan). Can't see him ditching that atm.
-
Burnley signing Nathan Redmond, so probably not competing with us for Diallo.
-
It's all gone very quiet on Mavididi, hasn't it? I don't know if thats good or bad. I keep thinking of Sambiasso's comment that there is a decent possibility of another incoming this week. And we DO need a winger!
-
On the basis of todays game - the fact that he got the second half (and Ward didn't ), his performance, his decent distribution and Maresca's reaction (making a big effort to talk to him at the end) - I'd say he's staying this season. Possibly as Number 2, possibly as competition for his fellow Dane (from what Matt Elliott said, it sounds like MH is coming), but with us for a bit longer ?

ALL CHANGE - LCFC TV became Fox Play for a couple of weeks - and is now Foxes Hub! The Northampton game is being shown Live, but no news of the arrangements (paid or otherwise) for League & Cup games.

https://the72.co.uk/2023/07/14/leeds-and-leicester-city-battling-pl-clubs-for-middlesbrough-man-boro-open-to-offers/ Another Centre Back?! Can't see us really going in for him.

Willy Caballero confirmed as Assistant Manager
Outfox the Fox replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think Cambiasso could well be the 'mystery Coach' Sambiasso is talking about. Maresca has talked much of the quality of fellow Coaches on his UEFA course and his common background with Cambiasso in Italy, Spain and Greece must be a plus. The Caballero links with EC, could also be significant. With City fans only too happy to welcome Cambiasso back and his continuing interest in us (as shown in recent social media comments), it would be a coup to recruit him again. And of course, he is a free agent, so no negotiations needed to bring him in (the same advantage we had with Caballero). "Watch this space", would be my advice! -
Cairney still has 1 year left on his contract, so won't be a Free transfer.

Roberto Vitiello - new Assistant Manager?
Outfox the Fox replied to bald reynard's topic in Leicester City Forum
Why the fixation on Round? The whole point of my comments was, with the delays on Vitiello, perhaps we are looking elsewhere now. Round leaving Arsenal, could be just one of many, possible and suitable, alternatives. What are peoples views on the Vitiello situation - and if he's not coming - are there any other good candidates? -
Roberto Vitiello - new Assistant Manager?
Outfox the Fox replied to bald reynard's topic in Leicester City Forum
It's been so long now since Vitiello was mooted as Assistant Manager, I wonder whether Visa issues are going to be insurmountable? Either we're still hammering it out, or we're going to move on elsewhere? I see Steve Round has left Arsenal today, after 4 years as Arteta's Assistant - perhaps the 'Man City link' might bring him to us (I know Maresca didn't work with Arteta, but I bet Pep might help 'oil the wheels' between the two?). -
LCFC TV is being relaunched this season as Fox Play. Details of access and (presumably) how to subscribe to all the stuff, including Live Broadcasts, "will be confirmed soon", they say. We won't be on EFL's iFollow service.

See my post, "1 year Loan moves out for some?" on the main Forum. IF Nacho has to go (even if it is to 'that lot'), a 1 year loan, with a view to getting him back IF we go up, might be an alternative? The same for a couple of others - though there will be many we can't turn down decent money for - or we can't expect to come back!
