https://www.mancity.com/features/brian-barry-murphy-makings-of-a-manager/ A fascinating analysis of the guy. Sounds great as an attacking Coach, but we perhaps need some defensive skills - though he might bring that as well!

https://www.echolive.ie/corksport/arid-41542606.html Assistant Manager - previously Development Team Manager at the Etihad. A big step up?

Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official

There is one upside - an extra loan place, 2 if we manage to offload Edouard. -
Apparently, Souttar has already made enough appearances for Sheffield United, that we can't have a January recall on his loan. I wonder if the same clause applies to Cannon. He has been playing regularly for Stoke.

Souttar joins Sheffield Utd on loan
Outfox the Fox replied to Finnegan's topic in Leicester City Forum
Given the fact that Souttar is in the running for Player of the Season for the Blades (together with repeated Man of the Match awards for Australia) and we are (desperately) short of Centre Back quality, I wonder if there's any chance RvN will bring him back from Loan. -
Maresca thought the same though.
-
He is out of contract, so a free agent. IF (big if) the source can be believed, an attacking midfielder / right winger / Centre forward (all his positions according to Transfermarkt) could be a valuable addition and worth taking up our spare squad place (we might even have two if Soumare does go to Galatasaray).

Soumaré - Sevilla currently - They have no cash

Galatasaray interested in taking him on loan. https://www.footballinsider247.com/leicester-transfers-galatasaray-make-move-to-sign-boubakary-soumare-sources/ -
Wymsey beat Nixon to break this story by 30 mins or so, should we consider him to be a new ITK?!
-
Sky reporting that Ipswich are still weighing up a move for Broja today - despite the fact the medical showed he wouldn't be match fit for 12 weeks!

Apparently, Chelsea are looking at a loan, with an obligation to buy (a la Fatawu).

https://cultofcalcio.com/leicester-city-midfielder-soumare-lands-on-roma-radar/ Roma now interested. C'mon Roma! -
https://insidefutbol.com/2024/08/04/everton-and-leicester-holding-talks-to-understand-if-midfielder-swoop-possible/654838/ Us....... and Everton chasing ...... of course!

That and the Mavididi connection could be significant. The big question is, IF we are interested.
-
They've got so many keepers already. If they're looking at Jorgensen, as another back up, hopefully Hermansen will be too expensive. But if they want to replace Sanchez et al, that is a completely different matter.

As per my earlier post(s), Dave Tivey is likely to be coming in as Fitness Coach and there could be no specific Transition Development Coach - that role being handled by the integrated Coaching team. I do think there will be at least one more Coaching appointment though - possibly Ade Viveash.
-
My mate on the Eastern Daily Press, who told me Andy Hughes was coming to us, said Hughes had been told that Cooper's plan, is to fully integrate the First Team and Under 21 coaching and training. So there might be no specific Under 21 Manager / Coach appointment (and only a nominal U21 squad). I think that fits in with recent announcements that the likes of Young, Alves and Braybrooke are joining the First team in pre-season training and Goulding will also be part of the main squad.
-
I think so, I was told Dave Tivey was coming in as Physical Performance Coach - and there was speculation on Ade Viveash moving to us from Cov.
-
Them and Andrew Hughes, pretty much as I predicted. It's good the sources were reliable.
-
If Viveash and Hughes are on their way to us - I guess it will be as Joint Assistant Managers / First Team Coaches. With their CV's, that's the only jobs I'd expect they'd be attracted by. So, no ex-Forest Coaches / Assistants, other than Alcock as Goalkeeping Coach and Tivey as Fitness Coach?
-
We're into the new accounting period, so should have some news on the incoming Coaching team this week. Certainly, Andrew Hughes, but very likely there'll be a few from Cooper's Forest set up. Tate, Tivey and Alcock are not contracted anywhere, so possibly the first in, but I'd like to see Steve Rands (Analyst) as well - probably not too expensive to bring in (he's still at Forest), unlike Reid. And there are a couple at other clubs, who might be targeted and not too difficult to get. https://trainingground.guru/articles/trio-leave-nottingham-forest-with-cooper

A journo friend on the Eastern Daily Press (the Norwich daily paper) has told me Andrew Hughes is coming to us as Assistant Manager. Apparently, when overlooked with the recent appointment of a Danish Assistant Manager at Norwich, he decided to look for pastures new. He was First Team (and Set Piece) Coach there.
-
We won't have to pay Plymouth anything for Tivey, he was only employed as a Consultant and his contract ends on 30 June.
-
https://www.nottinghamforest.news/2022/09/21/report-nottingham-forest-open-talks-with-pep-segura/ A new Technical Director, to work with our new HEAD COACH? He came close at Forest 2 years ago. Wikipedia says Segura was Cooper's, "main influence". He ended as Barca's Director of Football, until 2019, so has some pedigree.

A lot of money going on Potter this evening (3/10 now on a couple of Bookies, 1/3 and 4/11 on others). For so much, so quickly, there must be some updates on his situation, but I haven't seen anything?!
