  1. Ta-da. You just found one. Sounds like @JonnyBoy is another.
  2. I'm not worried about WFH. It just doesn't work for us. I'll stick with full time office based work with reduced hours working as they are typically 20% more productive in than at home.
  3. You are correct. The ones that like WFH can choose to work elsewhere. It has moved away from the point that it's grim for mental health and isn't helping with the societal problems under discussion.
  4. Im on a Teams training call right now. Its probably a good time to point out just how pointlessly sh*t they are. I am loving the flexibility of doing something else while its on though.
  5. Great post
  6. When people on here complain about Seagrave I think of the above. We have built elite level facilities which is the right thing to do at the time, more so than the stadium. We haven't then filled it with an elite level mentality in terms of the staffing. As such, we have created the players hotel, spa and golf course and wonder why they are pampered.
  7. I have none of these issues but only have 1 child. I just don't like them all that much. I think this is a driver for lots as much as anything, in this day and age, there are more interesting things to do than have babies.
  8. The WFH culture will make it worse too, particularly those that vehemently believe that working in an office and meeting people is a complete waste of time. Now I am in my 40s, my new friends are typically people I work with or people I meet through my child. I attend work networking events purely as a social event with people I like being with.

    Houses

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c05867zv6q8o There is so much wrong with this article, the current government is strangling house building. Missing it by 170k per year its a long way off not 'narrowly'. I can't see that we will be building 400k per year in a couple of years time. Our small developer work has been decimated to the point of it not being there anymore. All of the stuff that has been so far has been to benefit the large housebuilders that are less effected by the obscene ramp up of planning fees by Rayner.
  10. Thought mv came across well in the race room while lando was processing the win. Normally can't stand him.
  11. I liked how confused he was by the fact he had done it. Beneath the social media stuff he seems quite humble. Could be the last one he gets I suspect.
  12. His dad may not have been rich, but it was still a very middle class upbringing. It's not like he was doing nights at Tesco to be able to afford his karting. It's just that karting is so expensive, it's all relative.
  13. You can't be a F1 driver without rich parents, so that seems accurate.
  14. This feels like scoring the winner and waiting for VAR to chalk it off.
  15. Should be 10s for yuki
  16. Over to the stewards. Lovely stuff incoming.
  17. It's no different to bringing in foreign players, or players from other divisions. What we do know is that there are plenty in the squad that are experienced premier league and international players that do not perform for us. It makes the argument not to give youngsters opportunities null and should give acceptance that they may not perform well in every game.
  18. We have no proof he can't either.
  19. I always thought Santa was a socialist?
  20. Piastri will be hoping for a rubbish start from MV. It will be first corner bloodbath and he takes the win.
  21. He probably benefit from the confidence boost of knowing he is a starter and winks is bombed out. He is clearly a trier, but he always seems to lack confidence. Need to stick with this midfield for a while now.
  22. Sizewell also started construction under Sunak. My point on this is always that the Tories 'did nothing' and labour are doing loads and it's not spoken about rhetoric is plain daft. The last government was disorganised and distracted by world events so I'm not surprised to hear they were slow on decision making. Projects like these take years spanning multiple governments. Unless they are scrapped altogether HS2 style then believing a single government resolves everything with a set of policy documents is unrealistic.
  23. Looks like a continuation of tory policy plus legislation to force the planning process to be quicker. Be interesting to see if it works. The planning system is very very good at remaining slow where it wants to.
  24. Ordered an advent calendar on Prime. It didn't bother to tell me the estimated delivery date was in January. Mrs not happy.
  25. We stayed in the Quality Hotel Saga. Was decent enough from memory. Free brown cheese and waffles in the afternoon.
