Not sure really. I think it's brilliant when people do better for themselves. It shows that this country has opportunities for anyone regardless of background.

No trolling just my opinion. My upbringing was more stable than hers, despite coming from a single parent family and growing up in a council flat. I would have loved my parents to own their homes but they aren't of that mindset, let alone 2 of them I am the first to own a property or go to university and hope to be able to secure their futures.

Good for nesting birds. We cut ours down and no longer get bats in the garden. Truly shit trees, but nature finds ways of using what is available. If new trees are being planted then you can do better but we do miss the bats.

A green MP is a bit like a sewage treatment plant. We all know they are important but none of us want one anywhere near us.

Hear hear. Labour deserve their majority and those that want to change the system just to suit their own view need to get a grip.

She is an odd one. On the one hand she is all that my parents taught me not to be growing up in social housing in Leicester. On the other hand, she bought 2 houses which is beyond my upbringing aspirations whilst growing up. I'm lucky that I have done well for myself and can start to provide for the rest of my extended family. But listening to her, I dont feel that she is a brilliant example for people to follow.

Some fair points. I went to the costings, not the manifesto and they are mostly a fabrication. I have listened to Rachel reeves interviews over the past 12 months and am disappointed that the figures don't add up. I thought that labour under starmer would be unremarkable but competent. Unfortunately, their manifesto is uncoated or poorly costed. I've looked at the the labour back bench and maybe my Leicester insecurities are at play. But they mostly have the sorts of backgrounds that I was jealous of when I went to university. I was unaware of the sorts of people that had 2 parents that went to university and considered themselves working class as being normal. My background is most akin to Angela Raynor's or David lammys though my parents were older before becoming single parents. Please keep up the condescending attitude you excel at it. I am always keen on encouraging people to do what they are good at

Middle-class white ones?

It's just a shame that whilst the previous parliament was representative of society in the UK the current one isn't. Feels like a step back for the labour party. I am sure that SKS will improve this in the future, he has 5 years after all.

There would be more diversity of they had all gone to Oxbridge.

It certainly favours a particular demographic....

They are also expecting Starmer to declare a load of green belt as being suitable for building on. I doubt he will and I doubt planning will be any quicker than it is currently. What will help the most is interest rates coming down.
-
Most of the 8% will have gone to lib dem not labour. JOB has just started talking about the lack of euphoria after the landslide and is scratching ching around trying to blame the Tories. I suspect it's because SKS doesn't appear to have many answers, so most are waiting to see now what he does with his chance. A bit like making Steve Cooper your manager really!

Neil O'Brien is a good MP in fairness. He has been covering for Claudia Webbe in Leicester East and helping the people there whilst she was indisposed, which appeared to be for the majority of her time in post.

Anywhere where Gaza is a bigger issue than the UK appears to be a basket case. Also seemingly a big reform vote in those areas.
-
Just listening to Jess Phillips, she has had a tough time of it. Labour are now going to have to start saying what they will deliver then deliver it. Hope someone has told SKS.

Blaby? Queuing out the door.

This was all narrative building for when we submit our defence. We accept 2 points deduction even though the rules haven't been applied correctly etc. -
If it ends up looking like that, it will go to 4-4-2 or 4-1-4-1 in possession with Faes as a FB pushing on I reckon.

The club have a point that it is stupid. We stopped being a PL club a month before the end of the accounting period so they are charging an EFL club with the breach. I don't have an issue with this, but there is no doubt the rule are poorly worded at best and incompetently put together. -
I'm very well thank you. Good of you to be so considerate though. Warm fuzzy feelings abound.

They like cash. They back whichever party earns them the most cash and will accept advertising money from anyone.
