I have in the past spread butter and jam on Weetabix... and cheese to. Basically it's a very expensive Ryvita. Not worth the expense. . I will probably eat cheese with anything.
-
I also use crumpets as mini pizza bases. Toast crumpet slightly (preferably giving the base a little more than the top. On goes tomato puree (passata, salva, chopped tomatoes or even ketchup at a pinch) then cheese, then add anything else - tinned tuna is easy to do, a few jalapenos, sweetcorn. Again, you're welcome.

No. Especially if it's a Wotsit or Frazzles sandwich on white bread sandwich. Here's a treat for you. Crush Frazzles and sprinkle on to cheese on toast before the cheese sets. You're welcome.

Suger and butter on Yorkshire puddings is how I'd always have them as a kid. My dad didn't like them with dinner, so he had them that way. So, wanting to be like my dad and also the fact it was called pudding, I'd only ever have them as pudding What an idiot! Having said that, much like pancakes, they are a neutral base, so taste good sweet or savoury. So the reverse situation to Yorkie Pud does my head in, when people will only eat pancakes sweet (yet will probably happily eat fajitas morons!) Bacon and maple syrup though, or even honey... Mmmmmmmmmmm

This reminds me of the Will Smith film Happyness in which he destroys his family, sleeps rough on the street and has a thoroughly miserable time so he can have eventually a high paying job... and therefore be happy. It's such a skewed way of looking at life and I hate that film, not least because it will affect a lot of people's outlook on life. Will Smith is the Fresh Prince of D**k!

Re: Korean air disaster - are we ruling out suicidal pilot? I'd assume co-pilot and navigator could take control in said event. If an experienced pilot knew their landing gear wasn't down, surely attempting something like Chelsey Sullenberger did on the Hudson would have been better?

Fess up now instead of worrying about them finding out later.

God? Surely only god is above Rudkin.

The pictures of Farage at the Christmas hunt are all you need to know about him and the people who back him. When you're doing that as your publicity push...

Could This Be the Most Important January Ever?

I'd say the most important thing is a back up to Vardy. If you can't defend, then you need to score goals. Also, a decent attacking threat takes the pressure off the defence. -

Since the last one? -
And another.

I have to say, boardgames are excellent for all the reasons you say. Find something that isn't Monopoly, Cluedo or Risk though. So many different boardgames out there now.
-
Reading, movies, music, getting out into nature. Playing boardgames. Stuff that keeps the mind occupied, but not stressed. I do think though, if you do things that give immense highs, then the downs will be so much worse, so the moderation in all things applies.

JS is only just back from long term injury.

And then everyone will turn on him, no doubt :

Ward injured?

Good reason not to go there, amongst so many others.

I'd say that's because they're probably the two worst whiskies around. I'd rather boil my testes than drink Bells!

One of the best things you can do when you're depressed is avoid comparing yourself with others. It's counterproductive and pointless. Everyone is different, has different abilities, different circumstances, different mentalities. It astonishes me how few people realise this and harshly judge others by their standards, it's like so many people just want everyone to be clones. Life is complex, highs and lows, very few ready made answers, so just be your best. Don't judge yourself against others, cos their best will be different. If you feel you're not doing your best, re-evaluate yourself and your situation - you'll probably be surprised. Your best is not a constant value, it will vary. Neither is it about what you have. If that were true then Elon Musk would be the best person in the world and that's clearly not true! (Maybe I'm comparing myself to someone else and judging them by my own standards ) But sometimes being your best is just getting by. So onwards to 2025. All the best for the future fellow FT family!

Two Forgotten Traditions of Christmas Day in Leicester
Trav Le Bleu replied to kushiro's topic in Leicester City Forum
The sporting occasion I miss at this time of year is the Tigers v Barbarians. Every year the .world's best players turning up to play in an invitation match and there was always some great rugby played. You wouldn't get anything like that in any sport nowadays and I think it's a crying shame. -
The conundrum is I want to try as many different whiskies as possible, but that also means I rarely revisit some of the ones I've enjoyed.
