Hmmm. The Yanks have been quite hands off so far save a couple of underwhelming loanees from Bournemouth (apart from Marcondes who was far too good for Hibs, just rusty). It's a shame they're not too involved in the day to day because Bill Foley seems really switched on as an owner. Hibs are crap but they do tend to give their managers time, Nick Montgomery should've been out on his arse well before the end of last season – hiring / firing falls mainly on Ron Gordon's son Ian, Malky Mackay and a bloke called Ben Kensell rather than Foley / Black Knight themselves. But their whole boardroom structure is a bit of a mess, Leanne Dempster was the last seemingly competent director they had and she left four years ago. Their player recruitment is a shambles, Brian McDermott came in as DoF last season and didn't last 12 months. A bloated squad full of crap – or people who simply forget how to play football. Keeper, centre half and centre mid have been unsettled problem positions for ages. If they can get a back four of Obita - O'Hora - Ekpiteta - Miller/Cadden Playing together every week with rather than a revolving door of chancers they might be solid, but I'm not holding any breath.

I think you're now mainly paying for the speed of service above anything else in these places. A meal from KFC is probably costing you ~£15 in 2024 which is really hard to justify even though I'm a colonel fan. Never really been a vice for me but like that article says, you can have a full meal in a pub for the same price.

This apparently isn't true. People are so quick to share unverified news from any weirdo with a phone man, that's a bloody gear grinder.

Kapustka just got a nice goal against Caenarfon, found his level -
Just too many incidents down there and it put folk off I think. Sumo got a rep for letting anyone 12 and over in and Mobius seemed to have people scrapping every week. Shame because at it's peak it seemed to cater for all tastes and kicking off a Friday night with a Loaf + O-Bar double header was top tier (over a decade back now, Christ).

Get those questions in for me and Steve guys. Quick note from me that while this should be a fun event and we encourage everyone to get involved, it goes without saying that abuse will not be tolerated. -

In your initial post you said someone who was 25 was youthful while in the same breath describing a 27 year old as an "older player" so you'll forgive me for taking your opinions on this with a pinch of salt, cheers! -

It's less that I think we're becoming dad's army and more that I don't think we should be targeting any more players with no resale value, primarily on the basis of them being experienced campaigners (on the face of it) , when the squad is already loaded with enough of them. I like the Decordova-Reid signing. This one doesn't seem necessary and I'd rather the money was spent elsewhere. We've all seen Jordan Ayew play. -

The need for Prem Experience™ is the biggest myth going. It's hardly like our sides in 14/15 and 15/16 were bursting at the seams with seasoned Premier League campaigners, in fact I'd argue we already have more experience in our ranks now than either of those squads. We are desperate for genuine quality in more than a few areas, we don't need any one else in who's primary asset is "experience" or we'll end up like Mickey Adams lot in 03/04 with a side that can barely finish games.
