  1. There’s more people in China learning English than English people living in England. i guess my point is that China is such a massive country, and is continuing to grow all the time in terms of infrastructure that what appears to be a lot in relation to the rest of the world or at least G7 efforts, are just a small fraction of what is needed. A smaller fraction per capita than say the UK, maybe. I do think that any efforts they are making are probably more out of concern for local city smog than any world benefit.. and with regards to the Chinese people, who I have a lot of sympathy for, I just really hope their opinion and thoughts are considered on any government level.
  2. GB feels like a Bit of a Lone Ranger amongst the G7 when it comes to leading the way.. really need the likes of The US to follow suit who, unfortunately, have far more influence. China and India seem far too wrapped up in their own expansion and don’t want to see this curbed or ‘ regulated’ in part because they want to have a bigger influence on the world stage. Yet another master stroke , I believe, by the U.S in playing the Billy big balls on the world stage.
  3. I’m telling you, I hear it all the time as an excuse. It’s all about making more money and not putting any more curbs/ extra expenses on their business sector
  4. here’s the problem with the United States… they have so many trees that people feel like they don’t have to try so hard. I’m serious! They feel like it gives them some wiggle room. That’s one thing they have right though. Trees do help. There are more trees now in the United States that 50 years ago. but honestly, they have more than enough money to be doing so much more! U.S. Greenhouse Gas Emissions. In the United States, greenhouse gas emissions caused by human activities decreased by 3 percent from 1990 to 2022, down from a high of 15.2 percent above 1990 levels in 2007. Carbon dioxide accounts for most of the nation's emissions.
  5. It’s a natural conclusion that if we are struggling to sign the quality of players needed permanently ( we are) , then loan with option to buy is the way to go, if we stay up, we will have the chance to keep, if we don’t, everyone says thank you and moves on.
  6. You can say that again!
  7. it would definitely be a bit of a amazing coup..
  8. I don’t know if anyone was following the 4x 400m mixed raced ( 2 women and 2 men on each team) but I’ve found it enthralling. Great finish tonight by the Dutch.. I like the mixed format and wish we Had more of them
  9. im actually a little bit concerned the club may consider Golding to be the player we need and no one else… I hope not as that would amounts an admission we have already accepted relegation and are building only for the future..but for between 10-15 million we could probably get Jobe Bellingham from Sunderland, which is in the same price range as Sammie and is 10 years younger.. but we may also end up going for a loan player who might fill a gap.. if we end up staying up then our options might open up a little bit more..
  10. I just think there has to be better out there to spend out money on..
  11. if they were spending it last season then it will count towards last seasons accounts. Wether they have the money or not, they still have to stay within PSR limits..
  12. ? well the fact he’s never played in the prem before AND he’s had only one good season in the championship is plenty reason why he might not come good next season. gving someone time to settle in whilst playing in the championship is a whole new deal to trying to get someone to settle in whilst in the prem. besides, we will be fighting relegation before the first whistle so we can’t afford the time to let someone settle in. We need them to be contributing from the first minute.
  13. took Vardy a couple of seasons to get up to speed didnt it? we don’t have that luxury with a 29 year old and us already going to be fighting for premier league survival- we can’t spend 10-15 million on a 29 year old and wait until he’s 31 to come good.
  14. it’s not. He’s had ONE good season in the championship and has been fairly average in the CHAMPIONSHIP otherwise, why people think he’ll be good for us in the premier league, I’ll never know…
  15. you have to factor in the massive increase in TV money in the last 5-6 years. That automatically increases what people are willing to pay for a player…
  16. fells like West Ham are trying to ignore PSR
  17. and, honestly, with his age and struggling with injury, he’s probably worth less than that at this moment!
  18. hmm… it could be argued that it’s just your opinion that Maguire wasn’t worth 80m, but he was to Man United. Just because you didn’t value him that highly doesn’t mean someone shouldn’t.
  19. he was very good and , by some, considered one of the hottest prospects in Europe when we signed him. I just don’t think he likes it in England. I don’t think that he’s a bad player.
  20. yes we have it every year, but unfortunately the last few years have been pretty disastrous In the transfer market, so people would be absolutely right to be nervous if more of the same..
  21. you have to at least admire their tenacity in going for quality players… and not giving up. Wish we’d do the same!
  22. ITS MY COUNTRY AND I WANT IT NOW
  23. I used to. I was the cook
  24. you’ve obviously never lived 2 miles away from a homeless shelter!
