It's fairly normal to sound out several candidates to see if they are interested and then go in hard on one of those that is... Its like if we identified we want a winger. we wouldn't have a shortlist of one, as there are many reasons why someone might not be available..

This does indeed seem like the most plausible explanation! I just dont understand why he would turn down the Ajax job a few months ago but come to Leicester.. I still think he will turn the job down, actually...
