  1. I TOTALLY get what you are saying. of course I enjoy watching football. but I don’t think it would sit well with any of us if say we get relegated because a lino misses a cast iron offside or penalty, for example… also this season. I think it’s imperative we stay up and there might be some backs-to-the-wall type football to make it happen. and a couple of million might not make much difference to you personally but if we miss out on that one player who could make a difference beacause someone out-bid us… or we couldn’t afford to offer an improved contract.. football can be a game of tight margins with the way FFP/ PSR works and every million counts these days..
  2. So how can we improve on that, would be my response instead of just throwing it out of the window?
  3. i'd disagree with that. i think when matches are won or lost on a bad decision, one place difference the prem now can be worth millions of pounds. one bad decision could cost even more if you factor in that this one place can effect you qualifying for european competition and thus millions more. its a massive bone of contention considering the amount of money that's in the premier league, unfortunately. It's not the only bone of contention, that's for sure. and the enjoyment factor is a bone of contention definitely... So How can we improve VAR instead of just throwing it out of the window, would be my response to that?
  4. After auditing they found that before VAR, 84% of decisions were correct, after VAR was introduced that went up to 96% of decisions being correct. So there's still room for improvement.
  5. ? unless I’m mistaken, the points deduction we are facing is for previous issues when in the prem. Any points deduction from last last season will only effect us if we get regulated back to the championship.
  6. much less mistake that before VAR was about. but it needs improvement.
  7. but thats their target. also, if they get there, they'll need players to be good enough to play in the champions league.
  8. Well we could sell him to meet requirements, but that money doesnt dissapear - it will still be there when the new season's books are opened so we would definitely need to reinvest it
  9. id sell him for 40m. as long as long as could reinvest it. possibly just agent talk to get a new contract.. same with Mads..
  10. KDH is good, but he's not champions league good.

Mads new contract time already? fair enough..
  12. Not Steve, it wouldn’t, nothing would make him look good,
  13. believe it or not, there are some countries in this world where that wouldn’t get you an easy life!
  14. I completely agree. theres nothing at all that could make him look good,
  15. we have to work out what our priority is for this coming season. with the impending points deduction, it has to be “ staying in the premier league”.. we have to go with whoever will give us the best option to do that.
  16. Yes this is a fair point. I must admit to playing a bit of Devil's advocate here, as this is a topic that is starting to gain a bit of traction and even has journalists from the BBC chiming in with comments and retweets.. I will add however, that they have banned the advertising of smoking more so than smoking itself and the banning of BP telling us about all their ' green initiatives' would be different to banning people from visiting a petrol station..
  17. So here’s a can of worms for you all to feast on… if smoking advertising is banned because smoking is bad for you… why not ban the advertising of fossil fuels if they are bad for the planet?
  18. I quite like the Chicken Tikka.. that's more my style..
  19. Hopefully they haven’t lied to him or hid anything from him
  20. so i know a few people on Foxestalk wanted evidence that MAresca wasn't told about the financial issues at the club... i dont remember who they were but here is a direct quote from the Leicester Mercury who were quoting Maresca himself... You could argue about the quality of their journalism, but you cant argue with a direct quote from him - they wouldnt be able to get away with making that up.. He said in May: “Nobody mentioned to me in January that we would not be able to bring in players. The same happened about the financial fair play. Nobody from the club mentioned to me when I signed that it could be a problem. I think it’s not the right thing to do. I think it will be a moment to sit and to understand why they didn’t mention it to me. “I’m in charge of this club in terms of being the manager, I need things to work well. For me, there are things we need to clarify and we need to modify. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/what-enzo-marescas-final-words-9320634

  24. I remember saying several days ago that we would likely go for someone who is out of contract as it would save on compo...
