  1. We've accepted lower offers before when we have NEEDED to sell. Like Maddison for 45m, for example. But yeah, have a good day
  2. Let me explain it for you. If we would have NEEDED to sell in January, we could have ( KDH). the advantage of selling in January has been traditionally higher prices. There wasnt 'nil' market in January- we had an offer for KDH. We didn't sell because we didn't need to. If we had, we could have got enough money to be compliant as well as sign Sensi. If we had NEEDED to sell, it would have been done in a timely fashion earlier in the window which would have made the Sensi deal much less complicated with less time constraints. You can of course wait until june, but you have much less time to get a deal done and over the line to meet compliance and if clubs back out you are sunk. you cant leave it to the next window to do the deal then.

but that’s not what he said though is it?
  4. So that we could have also squeezed enough money out of the deal to buy a player ( sensi) Maresca seemed to think we needed him now, so i'll trust him on that one.. There isn't a guarantee that by the end of June we would have been able to sell someone- prices are lower in June because there are also some free transfers going around that people can look at,. Surely it makes sense that if we needed to comply with FFP AND buy a player, we would look to get the best price, which is traditionally in January,
  5. im sorry mate but theres absolutely no defense of the American sports system for me nothing will fly.
  6. it’s terrible! Teams are ‘ rewarded’ for playing badly with the best young players! What’s the point of competing!? anyway, that’s really a discussion for another thread.
  7. because of the points deductions. In has still always been the case that January transfer prices are higher than summer prices because clubs are a bit more desperate..
  8. totally get what you’re saying. We have always sought top dollar for our players though and I personally believe that’s been a stumbling block to a few player sales recently, but anyway.. January prices are always higher is what I meant…
  9. American sport systems are very strange. The worse you play, the more of the hot young talent you get..
  10. i do believe that if there was a need to sell people , it would have been done in January when the prices are higher. More chance of time running out if you wait until June… I think we will have a massive reduction in wages come next season compared to when we were last in the prem and we will also have prem money coming in too… we will do alright but I don’t think we will be challenging the top 5 next couple of years!
  11. well, we would have LIKED to have gotten money in but we didn’t NEED to sell KDH. There is of course a difference..
  12. I am of course talking about this window. Next season I’m sure we will have the prem money again and we won’t be forced to sell anyone. We might not be able to spend much but I don’t think we’ll be forced to sell at all.."
  13. This is indeed what I would call “ being a boblet”
  14. it’s very shiney isn’t it can you imagine if he wore bright white shoes too? it would be like the volleyball scene from Top Gun every home game…

Id recommend some sort of noise-reduction headphones .if he doesn’t use them already maybe purchase them ahead of time so he can get used to using them. Get there early to get the seat and maybe eat before getting to the stadium. Maybe suggest limiting liquid consumption and use the toilet before getting to the stadiums so you don’t have to deal with him needing the toilet, ect..
  18. I’m glad we kept him. He could be a 15-20m player in a year or two
  19. it’s really hard to make the call that he will be ‘ an important starter’ for us. he’ll get games and is a good option to have. . I do see us strengthening in the middle of the park if we go up, though… aswell as up front and at the back..wide positions seem sorted for the most part..
  20. His name is Nelson
  21. his lack of pace aswell as the ease of which strikers can turn on a sixpence and leave you in the dust will be exploited in the prem for sure…
  22. I never imagined myself saying this…. But I miss Ndidi’s attacking prowess and crosses in from the line!!
  23. Im sorry, Ian, but a player NOT running around like a headless chicken with a beer belly and a mullet doesn't them a robot!
  24. I know you are being facetious, but its still a bit of a weird thing to say..
