just for the record, I think he’ll make a great manager one day. The problem He’s just been a first team coach for less than a year. I don’t think that’s enough experience to , with no money to spend, drag us out of the absolute car crash of a situation we are in.

the set up wasn’t so much the issue.. it was what appeared to be the lack of interest from the players and failure to fight for every ball., their ability to let their heads drop very quickly and the complete inability of Martin to get them playing , together, for a whole game. i think if you have the right manager, pretty much any set up could make us more competitive than what we have been so far this season.. right manager AND the right set up, we’d be flying!

I don’t believe Pearson will be able to ruin his image or reputation by coming back. His cult status is secure and set in stone. First of all, let’s point out that he recently stated in an interview that he went hiking to learn how to walk again. It’s possible there’s some misunderstanding by what he meant by “ learn how to walk again” I don’t believe he meant putting one step in front of the other ( you go to a rehab center for that). I think he meant gaining strength and building up muscle. with that being said, all he’d have to do is walk around the training pitch ( occasionally) looking stern faced and issue a few rollickings, sit in his office with staff and sort out tactics and team selections and maybe give some input on last minute loans and summer recruitment. all the donkey work on the training ground could be done by Andy King besides, being at seagrave a couple hours a day to work on his own strength and conditioning would help him too.

King will probably just take some training sessions. And he MIGHT be in charge for the next game. You don’t really need to get a team together for that..

I don’t imagine Pearson would have many interactions with Rudkin, partly due to Rudkin being moved “ upstairs”. The technical director would report to Rudkin and the manager to the technical director..

Went off last night after 29 minutes with an injury. Expected to be out for several weeks. Impressive considering he was signed to cover for injuries. they brought on Eric Dier as his replacement.

sounds like we knew we were getting rid of Marti and might be hoping to get a new manager in right quick and who we sign might depend on style/ opinion of new manager.

king has less than one season’s experience as a first team coach. Maybe promote him to assistant manager and get him to learn from an experienced manager would be better..
