  1. musk was advertising that on X earlier
  2. We have previously been described as very hard to deal with when clubs want to buy a player with us. Apparently ,demanding huge fees for our players being the concern that was raised. this would fit in line with us seemingly finding it ‘difficult’ to move players on..
  3. Rudkin: Hold my beer…
  4. yeah it’s all good. If you’d have posted that 3 years ago I might have believed you
  5. to sell, one must have a buyer..
  6. if we sell Bilal AND Mads, that will probably fund our summer rebuild ( which won’t be much)
  7. this does all beg the question “ how/why is he so highly thought of at Wolves?”
  8. what is this ‘big’ pay cut? It really depends on how either of us determine the definition of ‘big’, really. I don’t think it’s more than 20%, though. But to start with he’s a starting CB of the nation that was ranked number 1 in the world not so long back.. around the time we signed him also young with ‘room to develop ( ha!) when we signed him , so his starting wage when joining us would have been quite high.
  9. he’s possibly on quite high wages and hasn’t justified it, to any interested club… he’s not obliged to take a lesser contract and once a free agent might be able to command the wage he’s on right now due to clubs not needing to pay us a fee. we are the fools. We have created this situation yet again.
  10. How much protein in a 3 supremes combo with Cajun pinto beans and a diet Pepsi
  11. when we play them, I’d love to give Matty James a warm reception, but that’s about it..
  12. I hope not! Unless there’s some sort of solidarity thing going with the first team squad?
  13. there’d be some lost match day revenue too, I’d imagine. We’d be keen for the game to go ahead.
  14. whilst our revenue might drop by as much as if not more than 50%, I don’t think that’s as much as a relegation clause will reduce their wages., so we are still paying a higher price than a ‘good’ championship wage on championship income
  15. As a genuine football fan it makes me angry to see this happening to you, so I can’t even imagine how you guys must feel. It seems to me that your owner is absolutely gagging for the season to start as gate money is possibly the only income he can rely on…
  16. the ‘ state of decline’ over the past 5 years is due to the fact we over spent to stay in the champions league and stopped reaching it. . We therefore didn’t have that income coming in to cover the wages we decided to start splashing out on. We then spent wages to stay in the prem which we obviously failed to do. If there’s one thing about PSR regulations, it means we have no option but to fall in line with our spending to match our income over a 3 year period. Sheffield Wednesdays problem is very different. They have absolutely no money to spend., they don’t have a tier 1 youth system to generate good quality first team squad players and they don’t have rather large first team sponsors that pop up out of nowhere. They also are facing the very real possibility of starting the championship season with a league two standard first team. going forward, our major issue is going to be that our owner has Pumped over 400m of his own money into the club to wipe out debt.. he’s invested heavily into the training ground and this is all money he will want back if he decides to sell. And that’s an obscene amount of money to expect a potential owner to fork out for a yo-yo team with a ground capacity of 32k. So our main issue is that we will possibly stay that yo-yo team or may even become a mediocre championship team. As awful as that will feel, in the context of surviving as a football club, we will survive.
  17. this is simply not true and nothing short of fearmongering. At the very worst case scenario we have sellable asserts that can pay some debt. Which incidentally we don’t have because our owner paid that off by turning it into equity. Might we be be in the championship a few years if we do that? Yes. But we are not in danger of failing to pay our staff or players.
  18. I’m sat here trying to think of something funny to say.. to try and make light of the situation.. to bring my satirical outlook on life into it all but I just can’t do it. It’s all so horrific and I feel desperately sorry for Wednesday fans…
  19. imagine wanting Morgan Gibbs-white but settling for Ndidi. they would probably have been better to keep Gibbs out of this press release..
  20. I feel like you are suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
