I don’t think anyone is saying Jakob is as good as Mads. He’s got the attributes to be as good as him at least,. possibly needs some more first team exposure before we declare that, though.

If Mads stays, it could be him… if not, there is no clear option. I often consider captains should play regularly and be a standout performer. Muzzy always gave 100%. He never got fat and Lazy.. was much more athletic and ran more.

im not sure of a season in recent memory where we have always been able to sell those we want to sell.. sure we’d prefer to sell those you mention.. but we might not be able to. Kone would be a 5m fee likely over 5 years. I’d say a max of 40k a week that’s 2m a year selling any of those mentioned should be able to cover that.. Wycombe will want this sorting soon you’d imagine so we can’t risk losing him to Swansea so really we are in a position where we have to make deals for those we get offers for first. We just can’t risk going into the new season without a new striker…

hmm. I see what you’re saying, but I think we can all agree that we desperately need a striker. If we can’t shift the gaff then we MUST sell either of those because it has to be u fathomable to go into the new season without a new striker… we simply can’t afford to keep waiting and waiting to sell the gaff and then end up with no new striker..

If we no longer have Vardy on the books, the savings on his wages alone would mean we could pay Kone’s transfer fee in full this year..
