Drury starting to shout a player's name then swallowing it He's edging, that lad...

The only way this one gets exciting is if the ref does something really stupid.

Was just about to post this. Dreading Jesus scoring, tbqh.

Did Carra just say "Dunk's backside... it's incredibly tight" ?

Why "masculine" effort? What are you on about, here? In what way does it differ from just "effort"? I have news about Martin O'Neill's nationality... Now it's getting weird.

A few clubs have talked about reducing the away support allocation for the OF because they can't behave themselves and smash the place up.

Just seen the Kalvin Phillips stucking the middle one up at West Ham fans who were abusing him as he got on the team bus. I guess he probs aint playing for them again. More importantly, in a world where people pretend to care about Men's mental health, can the fans who dislike him playing for them (and I agree it isn't working) not just roll their eyes and tut, rather than screaming abuse?

The Running Thread (formerly How fast can you run a 5k?)
Vacamion replied to Sly's topic in General Chat
I don't do parkrun very much any more, because my local parkrun is a fairly large one that starts on a narrow uphill path and it's chokka at the start and for the first 1500m Loads of people who go near the front, run 700m then start walking, as well as dog runners (thanks for all that mad barking during the announcements), pushchair folk and then there are the people who insist on running alongside their mates for a chat on a narrow path. The only way I can enjoy a parkrun is to start at the back and try to avoid any intent to make progress past people. I guess I just don't like people -
Down to do the Madrid half at the end of April. I've been out running 4 times a week, doing 5km or sometimes 10km, getting up and out at 06:00 during the week and then a longer run on a Sunday, up to 10 miles. I broke my 5km pb on the very hilly route I do twice this week. All was going well. I went shopping yesterday and decided to fit in a cheeky treadmill at the gym en route, nothing too strenuous, just a quick 45 min, a break a sweat type lollop. I popped a calf

I loved those shots of Man United fans shaking their heads after conceding. They've hit the jackpot getting a point out of that game

I, on the contrary, believe it very much.

Yep. Only one side getting late winner, maybe by dodgy VAR decision.

Man United's kit is a horrendous departure from their traditions. Given that they are playing against a team in red / white stripes, so a clash for the colour blind could have been predicted easily, they ought to have picked their 3rd kit white shirt with red trim.

Is it just me, or are Ivan Toney's eyes a little bit at ten to two? (Or, as my Ayrshire-born wife would have it, one eye going for the shopping, the other coming back with the change )

I remember when people were saying the same things in here about "Martin O'God" while Pearson was managing us.

This is all over my timeline

I thought that goal was fair enough. Shouldn't collapse in a heap for being slightly tapped on the head.

What's that Linesman smoking?

I was working today and I missed most of the match and wasn't able to look in here much. Having not long ago taken a look in the forum, I see that there is a 14 page "sack him" thread and a 4 page "it's gone tits up" thread. Wow. With 8 games to go, there is about as much optimism and fighting spirit in here as I can see described as having been evident in Bristol today. We might not go up, and such a failure would be gutting and a scandalous waste of our resources, but it aint all over yet. Up and at 'em...
