  1. The opening question in the Russell Martin interview on Sky was really uncompromising, hard hitting journalism. "Russell, you are a born leader...."
  2. Can only speculate that dropping Hamza and Coady is a tactical masterclass, for reasins beyond our ken. Just seen footage of the manager entering the stadium. Enzo's very impressive woollen wear was, I will speculate, handcrafted from fallen strands of Wout Faes's fleece...
  3. The wet-lipped teutonic whispering grebo.
  4. So the offside goal turned out to be decisive
  5. A nice 7-6 home win, with the winner in injury time would be nice.
  6. That's a peach .
  7. No arguing there.
  8. That looked like a bit of a foul by Luke T, to start the move, but I'll take that...
  9. Absolutely, but Cov fans would be calling that decision "big club bias" rather than geometry.
  10. That's a shame Cov will go on about that for years that if they go on to lose the penalties...
  11. Deduct them more points for this. And send the bloke out to make the announcement about the points deduction wearing a Luton Town shirt.
  12. My poor poor heart...
  13. Coady, you've all been asking for him
  14. If we are talking about when we were good *this season* ... There was a swagger. With hindsight, some might now call it utterly hubristic, but that level of confidence is now gone. If we scored first with a great team goal in any of our upcoming games, the knowledge that we might try and sit on a 1-0 lead for the rest of the game and only end up conceding, in addition to the gnawing dread of having chucked away a massive lead at the top of the table, would probably suck all of the swagger right out of us.
  15. If it was just about experience, the league would be full of old managers. And we've seen, winning tactics be overtaken by other teams' countermeasures (think Ranieri second season) Frank Lampard was about as well steeped in football upbringing as you can be, was a great player in good teams, and is apparently fairly intelligent as a bloke, yet failed as a manager so far. It's that certain je ne sais quoi - I believe the young uns call it "rizz".
  16. Chelsea strikers fouling each other more than Everton fouled to win the penalty
  17. The best thing about Everton being thrashed is that I haven't heard the daft Everton Wooo song since the deluge began...
  18. Weeee-yeeeeeah-yeeeah-eeeell You know you make me wanna.... Sing the "More Recent Than You" song at Arsenal fans.
  19. Arsenal seem to be lacking a sense of urgency.
  20. Well, for a weekend that started off with that abomination on Friday night, it's not turned out all that bad
  21. It being Liverpool, there could well still be a contentious officiating decision or two in front of the Kop.
  22. Clement storms off down the tunnel, no acknowledgements.
  23. And I had missed this. Not that surprising Merson would do this, I must say.
