Those popular in the 1980s name strips at the top of car windscreens denoting the driver and partner's names. It was all very well having "Jason" and "Tracey" on there, until Jason was giving a lift to his mate Darren.

It's the fact that all across Scotland, thousands of fans get on a bus and head down / up / across to Glasgow to see the OF, whilst their home town teams struggle to make ends meet. I once had a chat with a higher-up at Arbroath when I was at a 3rd tier game there, who told me that three busloads a week leave the town at the weekend to watch the OF. Celtic or Rangers fans with with Aberdeen accents are like Man United fans with Cornwall accents - just laughable and they contribute to their own backyards becoming football deserts. FTOF.

Madrid - City break and football

Cheers for this. Going for the first time at the end of April. Looking forward to it. -
Mostly childhood and young adult memories for me from 30 or 40 years ago. Pork Pie Library Angry dogs barking at me on the Saff The canal and surrounding area at Aylestone in the Summer - I spend whole days mucking about there The shouting at the market LCFC Tigers and school and club rugby The "big tit" on the ceiling at the Magna cinema in Wigston Wigston, Aylestone and St Maggies Baths Fox Cubs The pubs A few particular curry houses after a few beers That accent. I've tried not to lose mine. It amazes me that the wider world doesn't recognise an east mids accent, because whenever I hear one in the wild, my ears **** up and I know immediately it's one of us. Maybe because we don't have a cool name for it like Brummie or Cockney (Chizzits never really took off). That song was bang on, you don't know what you've got til it's gone.

Shouting is quite a lot of what he does. That, and pre-writing poetic commentary for events he has anticipated might happen. If Werner scores, imagine what he has pre-prepared I'm not a massive fan, tbh.

Ref is letting Everton Kung Fu their way to a point.
-
Can't believe the commentarors haven't pointed out Coleman trying to foul/wind up Tielemans, just minutes after they were squaring up. Not too perceptive.
-
Yes, it was Casadei blocked off by the ref and Cov went upfield to threaten from that.

As a Leicesterfarian, "O Bobb" amuses me greatly. But the rest of the country just doesn't get it.

Late to the party, but just saw Belfast. Brilliant.

It was inevitable.

Two or three occasions today where he was supplying the legs that Vestergaard didn't have. I think Faes had a better game than, say, Justin, who had players running past his back when we had 11 men and also after we went down to 10.

Match Ratings: Coventry 3-1 Leicester City - Vote Now

Sorry, I seem to have not made myself clear. By "difficult to rate them" I meant "difficult to assign a realistic score" (and deffo not "difficult to praise them"). For instance, to pick a couple of examples, McAteer came on and hardly got a sniff, but worked incredibly hard. Harry Winks was a defender most of the second half, but put a massive shift in. My fault for expressing myself imprecisely. -

Apart from the big decisions that turned the game, the ref tackled Casadei and then allowed Cov to attack, I couldn't believe what I was seeing and neither could Cesare. Then he let that Cov lad on a yellow continue to foul his way around the pitch until his boss took him off. He called so many the wrong way that I thought Winks might get sent off for dissent near the end. He lost control and was dishing out yellows left and right at the end. Awful. -

Came in this thread to say exactly this.

Really difficult to rate them, as a lot of them ended up doing stuff they aren't in the team to do. -
Gutted for Winks, KDH, Ricardo and the centre backs, who worked and worked, only to get nothing.

Feels a but weird, losing after all this time, doesn't it?

I think the lads get a pass, given the red. Using up a bit of our credit at the top. Anyway... rear view mirror. Onwards.
-
Thrash them. Empty the ground long before the end. Let the only noise be our lot. COYB

Can't blame them for writing "Ghost Town", given they came from Cov.

I would suggest that soundly beating Southampton at their gaff in a Friday night televised game was fairly "statementy" for our season.
