  1. Hopefully we're actually pretty desperate, but putting out comms like this to at least give us some negotiating power!
  2. Looks a good footballer to be honest, and strong. ...but yeah, not a fan of putting the ball in the net is he.
  3. Surely we could get the same for Cannon with the amount of interest in him
  4. Probably the best player we've ever signed. Straight in the first 11 tomorrow!
  5. Disappointing to miss out on this one. Hopefully it's one we can go for again in Jan or even next Summer...Although seeing as we're likely to be in the Championship next season, I'd say that's unlikely!
  6. Exactly what @Ric Flair was talking about on the latest podcast. Academy has always been important, but it's even more so nowadays.
  7. Based on a very poor attempt at being a WUM.
  8. If we signed Neal Maupay, it would surely cause the biggest collective head loss FT has seen for a while. Utter dogshit.
  9. Can we ban people who share tweets but don’t bother to add the translation? It’s unfair on us lazy people.
  10. Doesn't improve the starting 11 now, but he may do in the future. Still very young. Agree he's probably not what we needed short term though.
  11. Countries are touching innit.
  12. I kept waiting for him to burst into a full sprint but he never really had to last night. Be interesting to see if he is quick. Looks a very limited footballer from what I've seen so far but it's early days.
  13. Brilliant news. Will follow with interest.
  14. I was definitely splitting hairs - Apologies! I'm not particularly enamoured by our transfer business, but the age profiles seem appropriate.
  15. For balance - Fatawu was an obligation from last year. We had to sign him. Golding was only signed to placate Chelsea, so he doesn't count. ...and Skipp and Okoli are 23. So he's only signed one under 23 player, and he'll be going back at the end of the season! Big Steve knows you win nothing with kids!
  16. Like the look of Skipp. I think he’ll be a good player for us.
  17. Game of opinions I guess, but you’ve also perfectly described Bobby Reid there based on what I’ve seen of him so far. Minus the PL player part. Very poor. Mavididi isn’t perfect and will make some poor decisions but he works very hard out of possession and can make things happen when in it. Has to start.
  18. Go on then, enlighten us…
  19. When the head of recruitment tells Steve he isn't very good, but has over a hundred Premier League appearances:
  20. To the people concerned about the Fofana vibes - Yes he will almost certainly do the same to us in the future if a bigger club comes calling, but that's not a problem for now. If bigger clubs are hassling us for his signature, it will be because he's done well, and you'd like to think we'd be able to make decent profit on him at that point. It's the model we should be embracing. The Fofana deal worked brilliantly for us. I mean, it didn't really stop the PSR issues, but it probably should've!
  21. It’s possible those two would’ve cost quite a bit more if an English team was involved in the bidding as well? It seems pretty difficult to get good value from the highly rated talents around Europe as a PL club.
  22. Would be a great move, but we should be keeping him if we can shift Faes.
  23. £35m! We would be lucky to get £10m for him, he’s an absolute liability in the PL. We would’ve sold him when we went down if we had decent interest in him.
  24. How’s he going to leave? I doubt we’d be interested in a loan. ….and nobody is going to pay money for Wout Faes. He’s just not very good.
