Bowled really well. Didn’t get a huge amount of luck given how often they beat the bat and after the first couple it was pressure that got the wickets in the end. -
‘Wonderkid’ is very much pushing it but Jon Stevenson was another youngster who first appeared in a relegation season (2002) and there was a clamour to get him in.

No it wouldn’t. -
Playing first team in the Portugeuse top flight for Moreinense who are mid table. He’s probably fine he’s not around here to be fair.

Thought I’d have a look at an old Tavares thread about what people were saying about him and a lot of it was ‘we can’t let him leave like Gyamfi’. I had to Google, Dennis Gyamfi. Now currently fighting relegation from the Belgian top flight with Beerschot.

Would be even funnier if they’re banned from European football and UEFA use him coming on the pitch as evidence he is still the owner. -
Man U could finish the season with 39 points and yet are still one win against Spurs away from getting in the Champions League.

When did they build the hotel? That must play quite a large part in it. -
They’re banning the Lincolnshire flag from flying over Lincolnshire County Council?

Now look both like losing! -
You’re right, but to be fair, a lot on here did too. See the Cooper out thread.

Hallelujah. Nobody debating the services county councils actually provide. Just glib and vague statements that aim to wind people up and divide.

Excellent century before a shite lbw decision against him. -
Nah worries over immigration are pretty much ever present in any country and well pre-dates social media. Even Australia has the ‘we’re full up’ anti-immigration and passed controversial legislation against immigrants last year, and that’s 90 per cent empty.

Has the sales even been completed yet? They extended the deadline to complete it. Jarvis is going to be in charge of arguably the most important off-season at the club when that arrives. He’ll be judged on that more than anything in 5/10 years time. Wipe off the debt and put in a structure that’s self-sustainable going forward. If he doesn’t, doubt the ECB will throw any more in the way of lifelines. -

Two out chasing wide ones (Hill and Ahmed). Otherwise it was the new ball again and then kept a little low for Hanscomb and Van Beek. 50 partnership between Cox and Hanscomb though shows you can bat it if you get in. Cox has got to get back in now though. -

That’s all about Dan Ashworth who was joining another club. That’s the standard gardening leave. RVN isn’t joining a competitor. I think from my very limited knowledge there’s something about ‘right to work’ so if the employee is placed on gardening leave, they could take it to court and say they wanted to work. The employer would then have to prove they had a legal reason to place them on gardening leave. In Ashworth’s case, organising the transfers of staff for a rival club would be a legitimate (and fairly standard) reason. I’m guessing ‘to not pay him off until July because we don’t want to’ would not be looked on favourably by a court as a legitimate reason. -

I’m not a legal expert, but wouldn’t surprise me if there’s doubts over whether it would be legal. It could depend if he had anything in his contract about gardening leave and even then, it might have to be mutual. -

I think I’d be quite happy settling for mid-table if it meant binning off all the current senior players and management and using most of the youngsters and a few new signings. It’d be too much pressure expecting them to go up though. -

Probably not, but that fact I say probably is evidence enough RVN is worse. We can’t even score under him. Never mind the fact he can’t do a basic like organise a defence.
