I don’t think he’s a fantastic manager by any stretch of the imagination, but a lot of this is a load of nonsense. He didn’t fail at both clubs. For two of the two and a half seasons he was in management he achieved exactly what he was tasked to do. He kept his teams up. The miracle turn around is especially bollocks at Bournemouth. They finished 15th in his last season and then 12th Iraola’s first season. Yes Wolves turned it around but go back here in December, January time when he was sacked and many of us were saying with the fixtures the way they were there was no way they’d be in the relegation fight at the end of the season. Again, they finished one place lower than with O’Neil last season.

Partly in Kimber’s defence, is he on instruction from the coaches to stick rigidly to the pre-game plan, no matter what is happening on the pitch? I can’t think of any other reason for the odd bowling decisions. The T20 format is so up and down you have to win the games you’re in control of like that one.
