  1. Never thought a lesbian movie could sound so unsexy.
  2. Four this year. Two away games for us in July.
  3. Was Budinger sorry. Absolute worldie. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/1YYAVSiS6v/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  4. This thread is getting as bad as the match day ones for knee jerk reactions. Yes, a much weakened bowling attack, but look at the other scores with the Kookaburra from day one both today and last week. We’re in a very similar position to the Glamorgan game after day one. It’s unlikely we’ll have as good a day two, but still plenty of time. Our probably 9th/10th best bowler in Walker goes for 17 in his first two overs but comes back and plays a crucial role. It kind of sums up the grittiness shown again. The drop of Geddes might cost us (if it was a drop) but otherwise there wasn’t much wrong. Has anyone seen any replays of the Hanscomb catch to get rid of Du Plooy? The stream missed it.
  5. Going from Neil Young to Charli XCX is a trip and a half….
  6. Seriously impressive, especially given they lost Delap, Bellingham and Wharton just before the competition.
  7. I use it quite regularly. Got in to see Beth Gibbons tomorrow despite the website saying it was sold out. You can grab bargains too. Saw the Chemical Brother for £30 not long ago.
  8. Van Buuren was good but no idea why they kept that Murphy on. Wasn’t dangerous at all. Anyway, draw’s a good result for us.
  9. Shame there’s no bowling for Ahmed. Trevaskis is great at keeping things tight and controlling but you don’t see many wicket taking deliveries.
  10. The biggest compliment you can give this England side is that they’ve made what should seem incredible now seem normal. Just knock off the 10th highest chase in Test history and come back from the opposition being 350 odd for 3, nothing special.
  11. Might be eight with Tribe in hospital. Hope he’s ok then and might be out tomorrow.
  12. True. Incredible how quickly people (including myself) forgot about that.
  13. Only eight wickets taken in the first hour of the nine CC games today. Three of those to Guthrie.
  14. I know it’s not the biggest matter at hand, but we’re on a football forum. Imagine a few years ago hearing about a World Cup host bombing one of the countries that qualified less than a year before the tournament began and/or doing so while hosting one. Penny for Infantino’s thoughts - though to be fair the only way he’s not swayed by money is if it involves being asked difficult questions by serious journalists.
  15. You’ll have a great time. Cooler tomorrow as well.
  16. I’m not in Leeds, but the conditions at least here in Leics at the minute feeling perfect for swing bowling.
  17. Went to see LCD Soundsystem at Brixton Academy. Brilliant gig but wow it was hot. Idiot me wore white shorts, so as well as being drenched and smelly anyway on the train back, it looked like I’d pissed myself.
  18. You can request certain fixtures at certain times of year. I can’t remember who it was requested they be away from home so much early in the season due to ground work a few years ago. It’s also why there’s local derbies on bank holidays in non-league. I have no idea why Liverpool or us might always request to play that fixture then though!?! (Apart from the usual three points they get).
  19. Hence the talk of expanding it already.
  20. It was because of his age and saving him for the CCC, but given he hasn’t played that much, I’d had the same thought as you and that he’d be worth a go. I think he told Richard Rae he’d play T20 if asked a couple of years ago in an interview and I’d be surprised if he’s changed his mind since then.
  21. Very small boundary. As @Staff said, we were short. There was way too much leg side bowling but think that was from the bowlers trying to divert it away from the small boundary. I don’t think anyone has defended anything under 200 at Edgbaston so far this season in the Blast. To a man (except for Scriven) Derbyshire were just better all round.
  22. Back in the good old days when we had proper British things at FNF….. like cheerleaders and Bart Simpson. In fairness to your main point though, didn’t one game against Man U get over 15,000? We’ll probably have lower attendances at the KP next season.
  23. Incredible Blast game at Taunton. Somerset were 88-4 in the ninth but reached 236-5 to get to the target set by Middlesex with four balls in hand.
  24. This, not being used to the Dukes ball, it swinging more in England and it could also be the added pressure of a one -off, winner takes everything, test. Looking back at the previous finals, only once has ever a team scored more than 300 in an innings, and that was Aus’s 469 at The, usually a road, Oval
