Not convinced the booing was for Maddison. I felt the booing was aimed at Rodgers for taking off Lookman. However, did feel Madders took it personally, looking at the way he left the field at the end of the game.

Completely agree… but not sure it is totally Kaspar’s lack of ability in these situations. Without Evans at the back the other defenders and central midfielders are a catastrophe waiting to happen.

Schmeichel’s distribution is woeful. The defenders and midfielders do not give me any confidence when playing the ball from goal kicks and free kicks. We generally end up giving the ball away closer to our goal than we would if we had belted it upfield. We think we are Man City but play like more like Exeter City. Why do we continually play the ball backwards when a much more progressive option is available? That said Lookman, Barnes and Vardy for me were bright sparks in a frustrating afternoon.

Felt we played with 9 men today. Nacho and Madders ineffective for me. Agree the loss of Fofana was immense for us. Some poor defending particularly by Schmeical cost us dearly. Two games too far after our glorious FA cup win.

Albrighton ran himself into the ground. He tracked back many times. Admittedly his final distribution was inconsistent.

Absolutely shocking. He can’t pass. Can’t defend. He stops running. Gives up too easily. Can’t cross. Dreadful.

What peed me off was our lethargic start to the second half. Chelsea came out as a team and were ready and prepared. We drifted out like a Sunday league pub side. We weren’t focused. It was no surprise when Chelsea scored because were were still in the changing room mentally.

I was one of those having a pop at Maddison at the start of the new year. The new manager, better fitness, and higher press have benefitted him enormously. He is playing much better-and showing his undoubted class. Long may it continue. Praise where praise is due.

But we have a goal keeping coach and have had for many years. What the hell do they work on during the week? I have lost count of the numbe of times passes the ball to the opposition or kicks the ball directly out. Kasper dad thinks he should be playing at a higher level. What a load of nonsense.

I called Kasper out after the Palace game. Agree last night he was exceptional. Even his distribution was better! I now need to see this level of performance every week. There’s no doubt he has all the attributes.

If Kasper or his dad thinks his performances in recent weeks will get him into any club in the top six in this country or any top clubs in Europe then they are deluded. He doesn’t read the game well enough. He can’t distribute effectively. He doesn’t dominate his area. He makes too many basic mistakes. He’s found his level here!

Vardy took money under false pretences today. He was lazy, lacked pride, passion and put little effort in. Too many people make excuses for him. He’s got to show desire and determination. It’s no good just blaming Puel. Some of our player need to take a long hard look at themselves. Starting with Vards.

He’s a show pony. Only interested in himself. Doesn’t pass when he should. Passes when he shouldn’t. Tries the spectacular too frequently and often neglects the simple and obvious. Has had the opportunity in several occasions to demonstrate that he deserves to start but continues to blow it. He thinks he’s better than he really is.

C3 You have to be joking! Shinji covered every blade of grass tonight. He battled hard against Toure and didn’t give up when he was pushed off the ball. He tracked back in extra time and even covered Fuchs on several occasions.
