  1. He showed more fight when he was subbed and was walking off than he did during the game. An utter waste of space.
  2. God knows where Rowett got his coaching badges. We’ve got a forward who can’t receive and control a ball who has the physicality of a toddler, wingers who can’t head, yet we persist in lumping the ball forward. Yet cannot understand why the ball keeps coming back. Midfield lacking creativity. No one showing to receive the ball. What happens in training during the week? Central defenders with the pace of a snail and turning circle of an oil tanker. The saddest thing of all for me is the demise of Ricardo.
  3. Because all we’re doing is booting it up. We’ve not got a player who can win or hold the ball up front. Garbage
  4. They’d say it was our tomahawk…and we stole it from them!!
  5. Actually felt less anxious watching the game tonight. Apart from Okoli’s usual distribution error leading to a goal, we defended better than we have all season. As others have said, great to see fight, effort and determination. A promising start. Now we need to build on this on Saturday.
  6. Cripes. First Evans is on loan at Northampton and is completely unproven. Anyone who thinks Daka is our saviour in my opinion is deluded. He is lightweight and offers next to nothing. Ayew was poor yesterday, as he has been much of the season but I’m not sure who you think could have started. The lack of a striker has been evident for the past 3-4 seasons and we’ve not resolved this problem. Would definitely prefer Aluko to Thomas but urge caution playing too many youngsters. I feel they lack the physicality to cope in this league.
  7. Brain dead idiot. Player turned him on the halfway line and he pulled him down. How can he protest? Can’t understand why we were 1:1 in the first instance. Nevertheless, stupid challenge cost us the game.
  8. Well…we’ve certainly got a keeper whose afraid of crosses!!
  9. This has been the situation all season. I’ve lost track of the number of times he’s lost the ball (sometimes illegally) but sat on the ground remonstrating and the game has progressed and we have conceded as a result.
  10. I agree. It’s a challenge for these young lads to compete against experienced and hardened professionals. I felt we also lost what momentum we had when Monga came on for Mavididi. Coming into a side lacking confidence is a big ask.
  11. I don’t think you were watching the same game as me. Brilliant chances?? Took us over an hour to get a shot on target. In my opinion, continue to pllay like that and we’ll be relegated.
  12. Battle and this team??? No chance. There’s no fight, passion, determination and spirit. There’s a sense of entitlement and lack of unified cohesion required to get us out of the mire. Marti has shown he cannot galvanise this group. Last time I felt like this was when Ollie was managing. Fear we’re doomed
  13. Another clanger
  14. We’ve got too many lightweights. I’ve lost count of the number of times Thomas, Fatawu, Daka and Monga fall over following the slightest touch. On several occasions this has led to us conceding goals and needless bookings. We’ve got to toughen up, be stronger and be more resilient.
  15. I can see that boycotting the games shows empty seats. But I don’t think this is hurting the club because most are season ticket holders. Although I appreciate it doesn’t give a good impression. I feel a protest outside and inside the ground would he more effective. Time to be more vocal and take decisive action.
  16. I don’t agree. We lost it because Reid missed two sitters in the first half. We lost in the dressing room at half time when we ambled out and weren’t focused on the job in hand. Any buffoon would know they’d come at us after the break. We lost it because our defending was panicked, shambolic and chaotic in the second half. We lost it because Abdul doesn’t look up and square the ball to an unmarked player, choosing instead to go for the spectacular. A catalogue of errors.
  17. Tissue paper man
  18. Two poor team devoid of confidence and lacking ideas. Could have gone either way. The table doesn’t lie. If, and when we have points deducted, we will be in a relegation scrap. Will we have the grit and determination to grind out results then? Past seasons would suggest not. I hope so 🤞
  19. Said it before… and will say it again. He is too predictable. Lays the ball back far too often. When not doing this, cuts infield and hits speculative shots. Frustratingly, very rarely takes a player on the outside. He has the ability but seems to lack confidence at the moment. He was poor in my opinion today.
  20. The game versus Sheff Utd sums up his inconsistency. First half, tentative, safe and too often predictable. Either lay back or cut inside and take a shot. Second half, more direct, taking on the full back, linking up better and crossing. He plays better when we are less ponderous in our build up. I wonder if any of our coaches is taking Abdul aside and showing him what he is doing well and what he needs to do to improve- and working on these. I think he tries hard and wants to do well for the team.
  21. Why are you getting so wound up about other people’s actions? I’m frustrated and angry about the performance of the team and the manager. Just because some supporters feel they are supporting the team by clapping is up to them. Others choose to boo or shout the players aren’t fit to wear the shirt. Do your thing…and appreciate that we are are a broad church. We all do things differently.
  22. Which game did you go to? Oh, just realised the time of your post!! Forget this!!
  23. Choudhury… you can’t be serious.
