Whether he improves his form or not, it was a good sale for us at the time for the money we received. Far too many toys were thrown out the pram on here when we sold him.
-
I’d be surprised at that when he was available for free in the summer. However, if true I’d happily take £15m plus for him in the summer.
-
Nobody is paying £15m plus for him. Can’t see us selling him for less than that. I imagine he’ll be here next season whichever league we’re in, unless he throws his toys out the pram.
-
Yes he was.
-
So who plays right back if Justin got injured for the season?
-
We had one right back as I clearly stated earlier. We need two players in each position, so had to bring one in. Not hard to understand.
-
Who do you expect to get for a couple of million? Unlikely to be somebody to walk straight into the first team.
-
We have no other right back in the squad. Obviously signed as cover for both sides.
-
It's not that hard to understand! I was replying to a post Ric Flair made about several players we could have signed cheaply to improve our chances. Similarly to when he hyped up Tete, who turned out to be useless. You can't seriously be giving Tete any credit for one good performance out of 13?! Signing nobody is better than just signing anybody for the sake of it, especially when PSR is obviously tight. We made that mistake with Edouard.
-
Signing a player that Ric was really keen on that turned out to be crap!
-
Maybe they didn't want another Tete situation!

That’s not exactly what the letter states. It says they reviewed his version of events against the CCTV and remain satisfied that he was more than likely involved. At the very least, they say the group helped to conceal the person setting it off to an extent that it wasn’t clear which one actually did it.
-
They say that the person took positive action to assist the individual and the group acted together to conceal their identity. You can be found guilty of things in law even if you wasn’t the person that actually committed the final offence.
-
It’s not a cut and shut case. The letter shown on here doesn’t say they were banned for being close to where it happened. It says at the very least, they took positive action to assist the individual that did.
-
I try to bring a bit of balance to the never ending, relentless negativity about anything and everything on here. Not all bans given out would be unjustified.
-
Their opinion was that he either did it, or helped to conceal the person that did it. Whether he did it or not, was not my point. You talked about legal action. I just said a business can ban a person from their premises, just like a pub can bar somebody even if it’s for no reason.
-
A football club, like any business is allowed ban people from using it’s premises. A pub for example can bar people and refuse to serve them.
-
The season ticket holder wins as they get the cost of their ticket back. The club wins as they make a bit of profit on the ticket, and the person that buys the ticket wins as they get to see a match they wouldn't have been able to see otherwise.

BDCR was offered a two year deal at Fulham. They wanted to keep him. Ayew had been playing well for Palace, who are better than us. Didn’t Ipswich sign a lot of players from the Championship that you thought we should go for? Spent a lot of money on them too. Last time I looked at the table they were behind us. They also haven’t had the injury problems we have. Nothing to suggest we would have done any better going down that route. It’s also easy for certain people on here to chuck out random cheap players from foreign leagues we should go for. There’s certainly no guarantee most of them would have made an impact here either. The teams that come up from the Championship only have a small chance of staying up each season now. We are where I thought we would be, especially when our best players have been injured.
-
I don’t think Ayew and BDCR were mistakes. I think they are perfectly good squad players for very little outlay. The trouble was our best player getting injured for the season, meaning Ayew had to start more matches. Skipp and Okoli so far haven’t worked out. El Khannouss looks good and Buonanotte wasn’t the worst loan signing, but his form has dipped recently. A team like ours can’t afford to lose four key players - Fattawu, Mads, Ricardo and Ndidi for the majority of the season. We were always going to struggle to stay up, but that has made it very tough.
-
Oh I’ve not heard that one before. Very original 👍

I don't think it's really the board's role to give us a running commentary on how any transfer negotiations are going, just so people on Foxestalk don't keep getting their knickers in a twist. I wouldn't trust all of the 'common sense' suggestions on here either.
-
As many have said, we aren't getting a transfer embargo! We haven't broke the rules for 23-24. We aren't going to be desperate for Tom Cannon at all either. Getting £10m for him was good business. We rightly decided not to waste more money on players that wouldn't have improved our starting 11. Any money we have available, would be put to better use in the summer. If we'd spent what people wanted on here, we could well have ended up with a transfer embargo at some point next season.

Monga seems to be attracting interest from the big clubs around Europe. Alves didn't have that level of hype at 15.
-
A Championship loan is the right move for Alves. He’s been overhyped so far on here. We need to see what he’s capable of at a lower level. I hope he get’s enough minutes at Cardiff. Monga seems potentially on a different level, so probably will get his chance first if we can keep hold of him.
