People on here, that don't like talking about the good decisions made by certain people at the club.
-
People want us to forget about the great times we had over many seasons, but are unwilling to forget about the relegation two years ago. We recovered from the relegation and did a great job in signing players and a manager to win us the Championship. For me the relegation was history then and we should be focussed solely on trying to stay up this season. Constant negativity from the fans even before a ball was kicked this season, doesn't help in my opinion. The squad is very limited in Premier League terms, despite what you say. That's why I can't get so angry after every match like many here. The previous relegation was far worse as we had the quality that should have kept us up. We simply don't have that this time around.
-
They are still one of the three worst squads in the league though. No matter how much experience is in there. We were 4/9 favourites to be relegated at the start of the season. It's no surprise to me that we are struggling. The trouble with a lot of our fans though, is they can't accept where we are now and have unrealistic expectations of where we should be. We are in the mix and can still stay up. The job will be a whole lot harder if the fans don't try to help out. Fair enough, boo and voice opinions at the end of the match, but slating players during a game is never going to help. However, fans are entitled to do what they want, just like players are if they don't want to clap the fans.

Spot on. Can't expect the players to like the fans if any of them happen to read this forum!
-
I don't think our fans will necessarily acknowledge that. Our squad is one of the bottom three based on ability. We are where we should be in the table on talent. They are making mistakes because they are not quite good enough. It's not all just about not trying or that they should be playing better because they earn x amount of money per week more than the rest of us.

Which media report are you looking at?

Fulham offered BDR a new contract, so they wanted to keep him. I was pleased we got him for free. I wasn’t over the moon when we signed Ayew, but could see the logic to help us this season for a low fee. It’s great to talk about players with the beauty of hindsight, isn’t it.
-
Ipswich and Southampton could have probably done with them.
-
Yes, but we aren’t currently on the level of those two clubs. So we need to accept that.
-
Clubs currently better than us. Ayew made 11 league goals/assists last season. People need to remember where we currently are.
-
Ayew and BDR were doing well at currently better clubs than ours. I can clearly see the logic in signing them on a free or low fee. I very much doubt we paid £13m for one year of Edouard.
-
I thought the three Championship teams would probably go down. We had a chance to maybe get 16th or 17th. Which actually we are now in! People on here rave about the Ipswich signings. They could now be giving Southampton 4 points this season!
-
You like Bilal? BDR was free and Ayew low cost. Yes, decent wages, but low fees. Skipp has turned out poor. It’s clear we needed a quality CM though, but he hasn’t worked so far. Where did you expect us to finish this season?
-
Those clubs weren’t paying top 8 Premier League wages. It’s obvious why our wage bill was higher. Thats coming down though and why we aren’t overspending again.
-
Might do, might not!
-
We bought crap to win us the Championship? We are one goal away from being ahead of both other Championship teams too this season, so pretty much where I would have expected us to be this season.
-
It’s like saying why should you need to have a debit or credit card to buy things in many places? Sometimes things just change and develop in life. 99% of people shouldn’t be affected anyway and like I said before, it currently doesn’t affect your mum anyway.
-
If the money isn’t there, you can’t just spend it all the time. I’m sure we will bring in a player or two on deadline day, but need to get value.
-
Not be as good as Mads.
-
Well they haven’t done that yet, so let’s cross that bridge if they ever do. A very cheap second hand smartphone on pay as you go, just to be used to get into the game could be an easy option if needed though.
-
It doesn’t work like that though. Just like if we beat Arsenal, it doesn’t mean we’ll beat all the other teams below them. It’s nothing like a must win match.
-
She can keep her card and not pay the £25. Over 65s can keep their card for free, which is fair. 98-99% of people in the UK under 65 have a smartphone though, so wouldn't have a problem with having their season ticket on their phone.

Oh I'm not writing off the season just yet!
-
Let's hope he does smash it, but the kid has only scored a handful of goals in his career at any level so far. If we are a Premier League club next season, it's highly likely he'll need another loan at least in the first half of the season.

I bet your phone has never packed up just when you get to the gate either.
