We have had plenty of youngsters break through into the first team over the years. If they are good enough, they will get their chance. You can’t just chuck kids in all the time if they are not ready.

Can’t look at a single page on here without Rudkin’s name being mentioned! Talk about a broken record! It’s no surprise at all that’s it’s going to be a tough season fighting relegation. If a player wants out, then so be it. He needs to get his agent to find a club that will pay the kind of fee we want to accept.

One point from these two matches is a fair return. Big week in the transfer market to hopefully give us the tools to stay up.

So you think Soumaré is a better option to have off the bench than Ayew? You think Fatawu is going to play every minute this season? You don’t want another option that can play up front? If you think he doesn’t improve our squad, then sorry but you are simply wrong. We have obviously tried other options that haven’t come off. He is a good player, proven at a better team than ours. For this season, he will be a quality addition that works very hard and will give his all. That’s the kind of player we really need.

He improves our squad, and gives us a few options. Vastly experienced Premier League player. For this season he’ll be a better option than gambling on a young kid from abroad at that price.

If we go down, yes. He greatly strengthens our first team for this season too.

Skipp is 5 years younger and has a higher ceiling than Winks. He was also a key player and played virtually every minute on loan at Norwich in the Championship when they easily won the league. He’s worth a lot more than £10m.

Hamza was a very useful player last season and was worth the contract for that alone. Ndidi is a decent squad player to have without having to pay a fee for him. The transfer window hasn’t shut yet either, so I’m sure the gaping holes will be filled. We desperately need another Premier League quality centre mid and hopefully Skipp will be that man.

He started 18 Premier League matches a couple of seasons ago, so got a decent run then. No matter how bad you think Spurs are, they are still a huge level up from us.
