  1. He didn't need to say anything, but chose to specifically praise Top and Rudkin. Also clearly gave Ruud a glowing report on the club.
  2. People are far too obsessed with Rudkin. Need to move on and back the team. Enzo gave a good insight the other week into how well he thought of the owners and Rudkin. They are both trying the best for the team and have made many more good decisions than bad. We are where we are now and need to fight to try and stay in this league.
  3. People get far too angry on here. It was an away game against one of the best home teams in the league. It was pretty clear we would lose with a caretaker in charge too. I’m personally looking forward to Tuesday and the new manager. Couldn’t really care about today’s result especially as we didn’t drop any places in the league.
  4. I wouldn't take him back. I think the Turkish league is his level now.
  5. He did say that’s a blow. Meaning for us, but especially the player. Which is true.
  6. We couldn't invest to the level required to maintain a top 6 position. That's the reality of FFP. We tried to buy the young, well touted prospects that looked good signings at the time, like Daka and Soumare and they just didn't work out. If we'd sold players like Tielemans straight after the FA Cup win like we should have done in hindsight, the owners would have been slated then for lacking ambition and selling our best players. We are back to a level now where we have been many times historically. Fans do have to accept that and try to move on from the probably once in a lifetime highs we have experienced recently. The constant negativity on places like this won't help people's outlook on the game.
  7. He wouldn’t have been good enough for us last season in an Enzo team. Different styles obviously need different types of player.
  8. Two goals scored in seven matches. There would have been a Corberan - OUT thread on here by now!
  9. The squad is comparable to Ipswich and Southampton, so if any of the three promoted teams stay up they would have had a good season. Good to see the majority think we will achieve this, despite the negativity. I think it will be tough and probably 50/50 at the minute.
  10. Good line-up. Shouldn't be anything to moan about there, but seems to be for some. Looking forward to it.
  11. Well said.
  12. I would never be up for sacking a manager when we are top of the table by 6 or 7 points!
  13. I’m a season ticket holder. Don’t go to away matches.
  14. I’m not remotely suggesting Ipswich should sack McKenna. The fact of the matter is that they are below us in the table and will have had a worse start than us. All three Championship clubs are struggling as anyone should have predicted. There is a massive gulf between the two leagues. Tell me Premier League team apart from Southampton and Ipswich where we have a better squad?
  15. I like to ask the question to some on here, but was you an Enzo out fan?
  16. Another manager picking players he thinks suits his system better. That’s unusual isn’t it. We’ve played three top 6 teams, Fulham away who are currently sat in the top 6, Palace away and Everton who are a lot better than their points total suggests. Not any easy start, yet we’ve picked up points in half the matches and have been in every match up to 90 mins. Whichever manager we had this season, it was always going to be a struggle with this squad. Should Ipswich be thinking of sacking McKenna if they lose today?
  17. You don’t know he’s not up to the job. If he keeps us up like he has done before with Forest, he’ll be a success.
  18. People wanted him sacked before he even played a match! Talk about giving a manager a chance.
  19. Could we switch some of the fans too while you’re at it? Otherwise the new owners & board would only get two matches to get it right before FoxesTalk want them out!
  20. Mavididi's form did drop in the second half of last season where he only scored 4 goals after Boxing Day. I can see why he wasn't a nailed on starter this season, especially with Cooper playing a different style to Enzo. He's played great when given the chance this season though and has deservedly got himself into the starting 11.
  21. I’m not surprised, especially if they read this forum!
  22. We were around 5/1 to win the Championship, so about a 16% chance. Certainly not nailed on at all. The disruption of sacking Enzo, no doubt having a caretaker for a game or two and then hiring someone like Dean Smith could easily have meant we finished outside the top two. We’ll never know though. What we do know for a fact is that we wouldn’t have made £10m profit by Enzo leaving and would also have had to pay him and his team off. So imagine we’d have been nearly £20m down.
  23. Was you one of the ones that wanted Enzo sacked last season when we was top? If the board had followed the FoxesTalk forum then, it’s highly likely we would be struggling in the Championship still under a transfer embargo having bought nobody in the summer. A club can’t make its decisions based on a fans forum! Come on! You are talking as if it’s a fact that hiring Copper was a mistake? Last time I checked the table, we were outside the relegation zone which as I’ve said many times would be a success this season. So you also want a detailed report from the board on why we sign players that you have clearly written off after only 5 matches? You need to get into the real world. This will never happen at any club in football. You would also like us to spell out to the world exactly how much money we have left to spend this season, or how much money we need to raise before the end of June? Yeah I can see that will really strengthen our negotiating hand when buying or selling players! If we are 17th or above at Christmas I’ll be happy.
  24. Would you like them to give us a summary after each match of exactly what they are thinking? I'm not sure what information you are after? We are on the back of a great season in the Championship and are in the very early stages of this season, currently outside of the relegation zone.
