  1. Hamza seems to always be the next in line. If he wasn't captain yesterday it would specifically have been due to the drink driving case. Enzo obviously didn't want to strip him of the captaincy because of that and I don't see a major issue. He wasn't at his best, like many others in the team, but the loss certainly wasn't down to him. He played a massive part in the last two good performances.
  2. I'd take a loss on him with FFP and make the money up elsewhere to get him off the books. Otherwise it will be loan after loan until his contract runs out.
  3. We play with the same level of quality as the first 80 mins and we’ll comfortably win this as champions. Get our confidence back against QPR and then kick on again.
  4. Most things on a forum are opinion. It's a correct opinion though. I thought he had a decent first half, then turned sloppy in the second. He certainly wasn't outstanding though like some are saying. He's more than capable of playing in this team until the end of season and doing a fair job.
  5. Praet is playing because of a lack of options in his position. Vestergaard is playing because he is having a great season. So a different situation for them both. Praet is doing ok, but is clearly the weakest player in the current first team.
  6. Yes, that should have been a goal.
  7. I certainly wouldn't have called him brilliant. He did ok, especially in the first half. A few misplaced passes crept in during the second half.
  8. That sounds like a decent summary. The complete meltdown of so many people on here for not getting this deal over the line was ridiculous.
  9. Mads - great Mavididi - great Winks - great Fatawu - great Cannon - looks a decent prospect for a value fee.
  10. People love to name Coady, but don't mention the other good buys. We had a superb window last summer.
  11. Simple also that he must therefore be responsible for the very astute signings we made last summer?
  12. Surely paying the money on securing promotion, still doesn’t help us with FFP as it would be before June 30th? I imagine we had the deal set up, but still needed to sell somebody first.
  13. Still makes a considerable £400m less spend for the rest of the Premier League. We invested well in the summer, which meant we didn’t have an urgent need to add further signings when money is obviously tight in January.
  14. Whatever has happened has affected the majority of the other clubs too, hence the fact that hardly any money has been spent this month.
  15. What if we are close to the limit and are trying to avoid having to sell KDH? We don’t have many other players we can sell before the 30th of June to help us with FFP.
  16. Since the start of the window, Forest and Everton have been charged with FFP breaches. It was only the end of Nov that Everton were deducted 10 points. It would be perfectly understandable if our transfer policy changed during the window. Enzo would have been aware of this.
  17. He has known for weeks about the financial situation, as he has openly stated. Going back to my previous points, you are purely guessing the conversations between Rudkin and Enzo.
  18. He probably knew what was needed to make the deal happen, yes. Every time he has been asked about Sensi he has stated we need to sell before we buy, so he certainly wasn’t in the dark about financial issues.
  19. You don’t know the conversations that have gone on behind closed doors with Rudkin and Enzo. He was probably well aware of the situation.
  20. We’ve got more than enough in the squad to cover the number 8 position and to win the league. I’m sure every other club has a position in their team that they would like to improve. It didn’t quite happen, but we’ll be in a far better position financially in the summer to improve the squad.
  21. That’s one of the troubles with social media. Everyone is craving to break a story and it whips up some people into a frenzy! We wouldn’t have wanted him sat in Milan if we managed to sort a deal out late on. We brought him over to have him ready if a deal could be made. Unfortunately it couldn’t, so he goes back home. Simple as that really. We move on with the same squad, minus Casadei that has put us well clear at the top of the league.
  22. I’m pretty sure he understands a relegated team with a huge wage bill has to cut their cloth.
  23. We have made some great recruitment decisions since getting relegated. So I’m not just focusing on this one deal.
  24. Fuming about staying within the rules? I doubt it.
  25. We couldn’t manage to make the deal work for us, so pulled the plug. In the days of points deductions, I’d rather we stayed within the rules rather than gamble and take unnecessary risks.
