  1. I don’t think a player warrants a vote for not playing. He’s missed far too much of the season for me to be considered. Between KDH and Ricardo for me. KDH for his goal/assist stats and Ricardo for his great consistency and his tactical ability to play a number of roles in the team.
  2. They were facts. Enjoy your gin.
  3. Keep drinking then mate. Was talking about two months ago.
  4. People can say they want Enzo out whenever they want. However, when you were on course for one of the best seasons in any league in English history, the arguments against him being a bad appointment would clearly stack up. Pointless comment about us not being Barcelona etc. We can worry about the Premier League if and when we get there. I'm truly not concerned at all about that at this moment. We need to get promoted this season and sacking Enzo now and appointing a caretaker for a game or two like last season and then someone for a month, is probably not going to be the magic cure for our loss in form that people might think.
  5. If people were questioning a couple of months ago, what a bad decision it was hiring Enzo and being 15 points or whatever clear of third, then they would have rightly been drowned out. The fact of the matter was, some people were questioning the style, but I didn’t see anyone suggest he was a bad appointment. Sacking the manager now, when we are potentially a few hours away from being back at the top of the table and bringing in someone like Dean Smith again would be stupid. I don’t know how we would attract a decent manager in the future if they knew they faced the sack after one bad spell!
  6. Top and the gang as you call them were aware of the finances, but you still can’t say that it was a bad appointment at that stage as we were on course for a points record and way clear of third. We are still not at the crisis point some people think yet as we are one day away from potentially being top of the table with a home game to Birmingham to come.
  7. You wouldn’t have said that a couple of months ago though. Nobody would. With the signings we made last summer, Top gave Enzo enough tools to make his system work. The appointment was good and I do think the style would be fine if we was in the Premier League. Not many teams would defend so deep against us. The big loss we had of £90m or so will be wiped off next season, so in theory from 1st July, we might have room to move a little in the market if we are in the Premier League.
  8. We are and should still be quite strong odds on shots to get promoted. Yes, we aren’t looking great at the minute, but I’ve got to still fancy us to go up.
  9. I’d fancy us to be top of the table in a weeks time with a game in hand. Very tough couple of matches for Ipswich and not easy for Leeds either.
  10. Let’s see what the odds are in a weeks time. I’d be surprised if Ipswich win both of their games and Leeds have a couple of tough fixtures too. We could be back top by then with a game in hand.
  11. I would imagine the transfer embargo would end in July when we would be under Premier League rules? We could sign him officially then.
  12. Regardless of whether they suit me better or not, I also said that I prefer more matches on tv now than there was 30 years ago. That means fixtures will change. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be in the minority in thinking that either.
  13. I don't have a problem with midweek matches. They suit me personally better than Saturday. Like I said in a previous post, not everybody works 9-5 these days so the switches will suit some and not others. I also prefer the days of being able to watch more football on tv than 30 years ago. With that, there will obviously be fixture changes which are unavoidable.
  14. Yes, I fully think a full away stand for a vitally important match is far better than an empty stand that will achieve nothing. We are never going to go back to Saturday 3pm for every match. You can either come to terms with that or not. One of the play off matches was always in the evening, so I don't see a major issue in the other one being in the evening too. It's all too easy to find a way to blame Sky etc for anything.
  15. The away fans would be used to midweek away games, so don't see it as being an issue for most. A lot of people don't just work Monday-Friday, 9-5 anymore. Sky aren't wrecking the game!
  16. By the way, a quick look shows he played a total of 37 minutes in our Europa Conference campaign and they were against Randers! So it's a stretch to give him credit for that!
  17. He’s never been a decent squad player.
  18. I think it's more important we get a result anyway, rather than make a pointless protest that wouldn't change anything. A full away end that have travelled that far on a Friday night, would mean a lot more to the players and manager than an empty stand.
  19. No need to get mardy about it. You just said you don't care if we get promoted or not. I merely pointed out that not getting promotion probably puts us closer to League One than the Premier League with all the future points deductions, players being sold and further potential punishments etc. You are entitled to still prefer that option, but that could be the consequence of not going up this season.
  20. I wasn't questioning whether you will still follow them or not.
  21. Do you like League One? If we don't go up this season, there is probably more chance of us ending up there than the Premier League in the future.
  22. That's exactly it. The relegation wouldn't have been planned for and now we find ourselves in a tough situation. The club did the best they could in the summer to allow us to try and get promoted to get us out of the mess. They wouldn't want to give the EFL a plan of how we get back on track if they don't have to. We will have a month or two at the end of the season to get things in order depending on what league we are in.
  23. Was you not looking on here around the end of the transfer window? Plenty of people going crazy that we didn't spend money that we obviously couldn't afford.
  24. His performance as in inverted full back against a Leeds team away that had gone 8 wins on the bounce, would suggest he is more than capable of playing in that role. He is a very useful squad player. We are not in the Premier League.
