Managed to get 22km in today. Not run more than this distance in a month or more now, really need to be doing a 30k so hope the temp drops soon. Sun beaming down at 33/34 degrees this morn, honestly couldn't do any more and that was a lightish pace by my standards. Drops to low 20s next week so hoping to do a higher distance one then

Was planning a 30k today but felt too warm so thought I'll do it on my next day off which is Thursday. Forecast says 33 degrees 😂 not sure when im gonna run more than a HM anytime soon. Anyone else who runs sprints or interval work absolutely hate the thought of it before going out on the run? I try and do a mix of different runs or speed work at least once a week and today is supposed to be 6x1km bursts. That's the one I hate the most and honestly I dread going out and doing it. I will go and do it shortly but absolutely cannot wait for them to be over 😫 Gimme an easy or light jog about long run any day instead 😂

It's a joke. I could have bought on Monday but didn't want the corner blocks. Have had to wait today for the mad rush for them to slowly open a more central block. It just causes chaos them doing it this way. Id get it for games with low demand but this one was always heavily subscribed.

For me I generally only have a stop for a water break over 20km generally. Excluding the heat that is though, I've been stopping around 10k in recently and downing a lucozade in seconds 😂 I can't run with a water bottle in hand. If I'm doing a long run over a half I might take a running bag with a drink but never otherwise

Cost. £15 I think it is for ST holders and £20 for non. It's too much, especially for the shite we've had served up now for years. As a ST holder I might have gone for a tenner but drew the line at that and same for the Genoa friendly. I'm sure if they had priced it better it might have got a bigger crowd.

Just done my third PB in the HM at 93 mins. Was aiming for another sub 90 but realised about halfway the aches in my arse cheeks from leg day yesterday were too much and holding me back No fluid or gels either so am feeling it a bit now.

Club have priced the friendly and this as a joke imo. I wouldn't pay more than £10 for either as a season ticket holder and probably would have gone to both just to watch some football. Instead I might see what other games I can do nearer to me.
