Not renewing my season ticket: I cannot be only one
Houdini Logic replied to LinekersLugs's topic in Leicester City Forum
I've always renewed, even if I haven't been much the last few seasons, because I don't want to give up the seats that we've had since moving across to the bowl and the great friends we've made all around us. But sadly, next season I think is the time to walk away - there comes a point where you have to question taking several hours out of your day for this level of frustration and disappointment. Life is simply too short to spend it like this -
Not very imaginative but sums up my feelings at the minute... Get out of our club Get out of our club Khun Top Get out of our club Followed by… You don’t know what you’re doing You don’t know what you’re doing You don’t know what you’re doing

No offence mate but I don't even want to hear your opinions. This thread is for people who want to show up - not for people who want to debate. I'm done talking
-
Even if the majority are like that then fine. There are thousands of members here. If 10% show up then that's a statement Get out of our club. King Power Out. Your Dad would be ashamed. I don't even care anymore, I just want these idiots away from the club I love and I can't see any other way of expressing this
-
Enough is enough. Ipswich at home 13th December. Get down early, in time for the board arriving Protests, banners, all outside the ground. Anyone up for it?? Standing by doesn't seem to be an option anymore - time to show these c*nts they can't keep getting away with destroying our club

I'm guessing all town centres have taken a hit over the last decade or so, and will continue to see an increase in empty shops, but I actually think Leicester has declined far less than others. In fact, there's parts of Leicester like St Martins, the cultural quarter, the restaurants near Highcross, and Jubilee Square during summer and Christmas, which have actually improved over the years. Some of them significantly. It depends where you go and what you're after.

It may be that a lot of people on the forum don't actually go to the matches and so this may be helpful. That's not me trying to score points - I just think maybe people aren't able to see what goes on when watching on the TV or listening on the radio. To be clear - I don't think Faes is a terrible player and I also personally wouldn't boo my own team's player. But his attitude is by far the worst I've ever seen at Leicester and so I understand why people dislike him. The first I noticed it was during the Enzo ball days - there were often times when we'd pass side to side for prolonged periods and the crowd would (understandably IMO) get frustrated and start to become vocal about this. This was never directed at any one specific player but instead was general frustration at the lack of desire for someone to attack or try to create something. However, Faes seemed to take this personally and over several games would turn round and gesture to the fans as if to say 'what do you want me to do'. It came across as arrogant. There was a game, I can't remember which one, where Fatawu was getting particularly annoyed with the lack of urgency and the fact he would get into positions/make runs and Faes would never pick him out, and would instead pass it back or sideways. As this game progressed, whenever Faes would choose to pass it back, rather than forward, the fans did indeed boo. Again, this never seemed personal to Faes but IMO was more directed at the manager and the way the team were being asked to play. Fast forward a few minutes and Leicester score and rather than run to celebrate with his teammates, Faes decided to run down the whole of the East Stand cupping his ear and doing that flick of the wrist thing he did again yesterday. And now, several times over the last few seasons I've seen similar behaviour from him towards the fans, and what I particularly notice is that when we score he appears to celebrate AT the fans rather than WITH the fans. And that's just one dynamic. Add to that the fact that whenever Leicester concede a goal, even if he was the main player to blame, he will instead start blaming other players in the team. It gives off the attitude of nothing ever being his fault, which is another reason I think the fans turn against him. So I'm only mentioning stuff I'm seeing with my own eyes - maybe there's more stuff in the press/rumour mill, but to answer your question - it's stuff like this that I feel make the fans really dislike him
-
Original message: 'I'm not sure if booing his goal was done in jest, but who in their right mind boos a player when he scores the winner? ' My reply: "No, it wasn't in jest. The booing started AFTER he angrily gestured with his fist to the fans and then started cupping his ears" You: Ignores the fact we were talking about the booing for the goal and starts going on about the booing when he came on and saying I was wrong even though we were talking about a very specific scenario
-
I know he was booed when he came on. I'm not sure if you're purposely trying to deflect this or not, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you simply didn't read the post I was replying to.
-
I completely agree it's cause and effect... because why did fans boo when he came on? Because cupping his ear and gesturing to the fans is something he has done several times over the last couple of seasons, often without genuine reason and usually followed up by some horrendous interviews or actions thinking he is bigger and better than the club
-
ffs, that isn't the point I was replying to. I know that, it was clear to hear. The question I was replying to was 'why would you boo your own player for scoring', to which I pointed out that the booing when he scored started AFTER he gestured to the fans and cupped his ears... people weren't randomly booing him for scoring
-
You've conveniently taken this out of context. I was replying to a question about at what point the booing started when he scored
-
You can't just make stuff up, mate. Maybe watch this: https://www.skysports.com/football/video/26947/13409864/leicester-city-2-1-sheffield-wednesday-championship-highlights

No, it wasn't in jest. The booing started AFTER he angrily gestured with his fist to the fans and then started cupping his ears

All of the fans justifying his behaviour as ‘giving as good as he gets’ seem to forget that it’s him doing sh*t like this which is why he ‘gets’ it in the first place. It’s not the first time he’s cupped his ear to the fans, and, on previous occasions, it was completely unnecessary and just his ego running wild. The guy is an absolute pleb and he adds to a toxic relationship between the club and fans. If he’s too thick to realise that trying to take on 30k fans is a terrible idea then the manager (and his agent!) should really pull him aside and have a word. People’s views on Vestergaard have changed over the last season or two because he just got his head down and started to steadily improve his football. That is how you handle disgruntled fans. Or you can choose to take no responsibility, throw your toys out of the pram and blame everybody else...

I'm not sure what else it would take for some people to reach the King Power Out sentiment. That's nothing personal against you, I just struggle to see how much more mismanagement it would need for people to get there

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Houdini Logic replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I know most fans think we're relegated already, almost understandable with our current form, but we are 6 points from safety with 30 points left to play for. It's now or never. They HAVE to make the change now. -

I'm glad it wasn't just me then! I'm not sure how a circular route can feel like it is entirely up hill for 21km -

Total elevation actually doesn't look too bad. Looks like the first 2km is fairly uphill, so I'm going to try and not get too excited at the start! And then 8-11km looks hard and 16-19km fairly tricky. https://www.strava.com/routes/3268950513361269926 Indeed, good luck for the race! -

I'm also doing the Kettering half. Weather is supposed to be good -
Yes, it was Hermansen who went after Soumare but to be fair Mads had just pulled off a great save, the ball came out, Soumare pathetically tried to clear it and simply passed it to their player and then just stood there like a moody teenager and watched them score, rather than try to win the ball back. It was refreshing to see Hermansen tell him straight because Soumare's whole play and behaviour around that fourth goal just wasn't good enough

Oh sh*t. I didn't read the first post... I voted assuming that you meant the order on top of toast. I now feel like I've betrayed myself
