That pretty much guarantees that it'll basically be unchanged tonight then

Easy way to pay them pocket money isn't it haha

Most styles work with elite players as well - which to me suggests, it's probably not a great style if it only works with top players

It Rudkin has a kid in the next year or so we're done for. The dynasty will carry on for another generation

Sunderland - Post Match Discussion - Marching On Together (motforum.com) Interesting reading - looks like we've both got managers so petrified of losing that they're forgetting to try and win games See if McKenna falls foul of the same issues or whether they will continue to attack teams and win on their terms.

To be fair Daka's combined goal distance must be about 10 yards. He could rival shinji in being able to tap in ball that is bouncing around the goal line.
-
Fair play if that's your opinion. Personally I think it's anything but brilliant, but that's what makes the game interesting

This is true, majority of people would have ignored the awful performance, much like has happened when we have snatched a late goal on many occasions this season.

Is this the most stressful season as a Leicester fan ?
filbertway replied to marcymarc666's topic in Leicester City Forum
Nah 15/16 was the most stressful, it felt like our only chance we'd ever get at winning the Prem. I don't know if it's our recent achievements or because I just expect us to keep getting worse under current leadership at the club. I don't feel anything - if anything the idea of staying down and see how this lot does in those tough circumstances feels more entertaining than us going up and putting in a meek season like Burnley are doing. It's like an FM save - we hit our peak and achieved a lot. I fancy a reset and building up from obscurity again -
I don't know if you watched both games but Norwich clearly had a stretched squad and opted to put their full efforts into the Ipswich game. Their pressing and desire to win 50/50s in their Derby game was absolutely manic from the first whistle to the last. Absolute chalk and cheese in terms of application to both games. They did us a massive favour doing it that way.
-
As me and a few others said at the time - Norwich had absolutely no desire to expend anything but minimum energy in that second half. That wasn't us turning into some mad domineering force - that was us facing a team that were happy to camp in their half, expend as little energy as possible and go for damage limitation.

Champions League Thread 2023/2024
filbertway replied to SecretPro's topic in General Football and Sport
Neither were worthy of being penalties in the Arsenal v Bayern game - nice to see a ref applying common sense to a high pressure situation 1) The Arsenal handball - Bayern players nowhere near and I think just a case of unfortunate timing as Arsenal were clearly planning to do the whole weird passing to the keeper from the goal kick - Sanchez was just passing the ball to Gabriel. No Bayern players near, arsenal gained no advantage and Bayern were not disadvantaged. 2) Saka did the same thing I've seen him do about about 4 times this year already - running in one direction and then magically one of his legs spaz out and kick to the side. Weirdly it always ends up with him kicking an opposition player and then falling over in the box. -
I reckon 1-1 or 2-1 either way. It shouldn't be a coin flip but the way we play - even if we start the game on fire, we almost always give the opposition ample opportunity to get back into the game. Clearly, man for man we're better than them - it just depends whether the quality can overcome the hurdle of Enzo's turgid tactics.

There are, unfortunately for Fatawu the finishing hasn't been great https://www.fotmob.com/en-GB/leagues/48/stats/season/20721/players/big_chance_created/championship-players

Fatawu is head a shoulders the best chance creator in the division.
-
This squad in this division should be comfortably averaging 2+ a game. You make it sound like he's got a bunch of league one players over performing.
-
Regardless of division next season we'll get absolutely dicked if Enzo is in charge. The secret ingredient to this incredible style is having better players than the opposition and relying on individual skill or brilliance to score or create a tap in. Regardless of which division we're in, we're likely going to be struggling to put together a squad that won't get absolutely shafted to pieces playing this one very specific style. Likeable bloke but he's far too attached to one system which is a chore to watch and is easily out-witted by poor managers with poor squads. I hope he spends the summer trying to improve and become more flexible. A squad will have a wide range of different abilities, for me the best managers are able to get the best out of the players available rather than trying to force square pegs into round holes.

Dno what was better. The defensive header or fatawu having a seizure

Underatandable Im looking forward to experiencing the stitching pony a week on Saturday. Just the name sounds rough Seeing as we've got nothing to play for we've made the executive decision to get as drunk as possible as its the last away day.
-
Although please wait till the 76th minute before doing it.

This game is crying out for Justin, Praet and Hamza for Ricardo, Ndidi and Doyle

Not at the Leiston game tonight? Although last I saw it was 1-2 so I guess whichever game you picked you were onto a loser haha
